i just published a test site and im stumped on something. I'm making a flash website and i am uploading flash files to each page. I want the flash buttons, when pressed, to go to the correct page on the website. i named the website legaldept.yolasite.com, and i made another page called collections, so i was assuming the url of the page would be legaldept.yolasite.com/collections.php, but instead it's a long thing with different numbers and letters. can the url be shortened? thanks for your help.

Hi Andy1 - that page you're referring to is most likely your site preview page - not your actual published site. If your page is called collections.. then your url would be http://legaldept.yolasite.com/collect...

Please let us know if you need further clarification.

Hello Andy1,

It sounds like you are looking at the url in Preview mode; does the url look something like this:

http://sitebuilder.yola.com/sites/D56...

That is the url of the page in Preview mode.

If you view your site live (go to your url), you will see that the urls as are you expect them to be. Let me know if this doesn't answer your question.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Hi Andy1

You can access your page with either collections or collections.php. Here's a thread that you may find interesting which talks about the difference in adding the php to the end or not. http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/is_...
