We are looking for a few users to be the first to get a peek at our upcoming Yola Online Store. This premium feature will allow Yola users to create an online store with advanced features like: order management, shipping rules, product categories, Facebook integration, multiple payment options, and much more.

Yola is looking for retailers who preferably have created online stores with Yola or other providers before and are looking for a more advanced, streamlined experience. Testers should already have merchandise to sell and have an existing PayPay business account, Google Checkout account, or other merchant account.

This is a limited beta trial and we will only be able to allow a limited number of users.

If you are interested, please contact us at ecommerce-beta@yola.com for more information. Please include:
- Your business name
- The type of business that you run (category)
- Your Yola user name (The email address you signed up with Yola)

Not real sure this is going to go over well. While I am excited about the concept I am not willing to put my site in a beta mode that could cause me problems when things don't work right.Since I make my living from my site I like many others can't afford to risk losing sales while bugs are being worked out.If the peek and testing is done on a mirror site of some sort that does not hinder my online store then that would go over very well.

Yes eBay can be quite a handful. Direct Pressure on individual stores to drop prices or penalise. Very unfair when over-all prices are very low but the cost of shipping is so high and they want you to drop your shipping costs below cost. How does that work?

That business model isn't working for many now and chances are that is why AlexisH is here trying something different....Expect many more to stray away from eBay as first time entrepreneurs gain a little business experience and turn to companies like Yola..

Very good insight again KTD!

Have you ever sent one of your pieces to Greenland?
The price of shipping would be the same as setting up a Teak growing conservatory and the trees would be ready for harvesting at about the same time it takes for the shipping to arrive!

Sorry guess I missed this one Gop . . .Never sent anything to Greenland.. .The cost of freight has pretty much killed off any international sales for me.Even ground freight to Canada from our distribution center in the USA is very prohibitive cost wise at this point in time.

Thanks KTD. It seems to be a legit cost also as there is no shortage of companies carrying goods and they are very competitive between themselves.
AirAsia which is a relatively new and successful airline based in malaysia and Thailand and now covering the world is currently getting into small goods moving so it will be interesting to see if they can do it for significantly less compared to air-mail and air-freight charges.

Hi AlexisH ad KanThaiDecor,

If you enable the trial, you will be able to add the Yola Store on any of the sites you have or even a new site you create. We have already tested this functionality in house and anything you build in trial mode you will be able to keep as we go live.

That being said we completely understand if you are not ready for using a beta version for now. If you decide you would like to give it a try please e-mail us ecommerce-beta@yola.com to be included in the trial.

Thank you!

Hello Mada,

Have sent an email off through support and asked them to forward to you as the email was bouncing at that time.

Wondering if you could give a list of specifications as e-com facilities can be very complex and if we have to discover these then you can move a long way in before realising that it may not be a solution.

I have seen the standard "features like: order management, shipping rules, product categories, Facebook integration, multiple payment options, and much more. " which aren't specs but rather attractive carrots.

Is this going to be a paid-feature? or will it be part of my current package(yola silver)?

I'd be willing to trial in on my t-shirt printing business, but not if I am going to have to convert everything back at the end of the trial.

Hi everyone,

Yes, this will be a paid feature. We have received all your e-mails and we will send more information over e-mail tomorrow to everyone interested including the price of the feature once your trail is over. There is absolutely no commitment during the trail and if you decide to sign up the feature after the trial, you will keep all your products etc.

Thank you again for your interest and looking forward to hearing on feedback on the feature.

Hi Mada,

I sent an email reply to become a beta tester - hope it wasn't bounced.

How does one enable the trial? I'm ready to give it a try on some of our sites.

Should I try sending another email to sign up as a tester?

Hi Steven,

The call up is now closed and the trial is currently running.
The next publicly noticeable step will be the announcement of the public beta version but no date can be given at this stage while Yola and testers are working with the early pre-release version.
