I am struggling with seeing my images looking crisp and clear in photoshop and then when i go to upload them they come out blurred on the page. I am using Jpegs as Yola doesnt seem to allow me to do anything else and I have tried both saving for web and also just saving as a jpeg normally and the pics look really blurred - what can I do??? I have attached the image below and I can't really break it down because I dont know how to join images togetehr to make it seamless..

Hello Zoegell

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having some trouble with the image quality.

Yola recently released a feature that automatically optimizes any image you add using the Picture Widget.

For more information on how this works, see this article: Image Optimization.

The original high res image is still available in your File Manager. However, the image that is added to your page is compressed to ensure that your pages load quickly. Images with large file sizes are one of the primary reasons for poor performance of your website - so this is a very important feature for our users. However, if you are not used to it, it can be a bit of a surprise and I am sorry you were taken off guard.

The article above gives you other options for resizing your image if you do not want to use the new automatic image re-size tool.

If you take a look at the image widget on your page, you'll also see that you can now turn Image Optimization off altogether if you wish. You'll see the toggle button on the green bar bordering the top of the widget.

As this is a new feature, we will be looking for ways to improve it, so please send us any feedback you have so that we can pass it on to our product team.

Hi I have actually worked out what to do now. Don't know if it is the right way but a PNG seems to work for me on the homepage image only,. the others are jpegs but I think because of the size of the homepage image the PNG seems to compress less.

Thanks for the link above but I dont think I need it now - very pleased with how the PNG has come out.
