I had to reset my computer back to factory settings, and lost owner rights for my website. How do I get my rights back?

This should have nothing to do with a web site you own....what is your site URL ?

Hi there Lisa,

You shouldn't have lost any owner rights for your website. You should still be able to log in with your same email address and password.
If you have forgotten your password you can always reset it as follows:

1. Click on the "forgot password" link below the login boxes in the top right hand corner of the Yola homepage or click on this link (http://www.yola.com/user/forgotpass)
2. Fill in the email you used to create your account
3. Check your email inbox (and the junkmail folder if you don't receive it.) An email will be sent to you with a link to click on.
4. This link will take you to a page where you can reset your password

You will then be able to log into your account with your original email address and your new password.

Please let me know if this helps.

Kind regards,

Jeremy

Thank you. I will keep this in mind in case it ever happens again. I finally decided to delete the website, and start over. I appreciate your responding. Thank you!

in late '08 i lost my website www.votenow.synthasite.com to someone trying to legalize marijuana. my web wasnt deleted, just unpublished. this almost caused my to stop using yola / synthasite. my web was info about the presidential race. its not like synthasite / yola had a good reoson to give it away, especially to some person trying to make weed legal! I ended up deleting the web,as i couldnt find a new url for it.

I am very upset.

Hi SheepDude,

I'm really sorry you are feeling frustrated. Unfortunately when a site is not published to a specific subdomain that subdomain is available for use by anyone. I hope you were able to find another domain name that suited your website.

Kind Regards,
Emmy
