Making websites on Yola as a business

Thanks for asking. You are certainly allowed to use Yola for your own website building business, under the following conditions:

1) Any business arrangement you enter into is entirely between you and your customers. Yola will not intervene in the event of any disagreements arising and will not accept any liability should your customers be dissatisfied with any aspect of your service.

2) Any sites you build are subject to our Terms of Service and we will hold the Yola account holder as the responsible party in abiding by these terms.

3) We recommend that you have your customers create their own Yola accounts so that they can administer their own sites once your contract with them comes to an end. Please note that we do not have a facility that allows you to transfer sites between accounts, so please plan for this in advance.

With regards to your question about the stability of our company - no one can predict the future with 100% accuracy, so there is always an element of risk to doing business with any company. Having said that we believe that the risk you take with us is quite low. We have been in business for 5 years, we are backed by strong investors and we have a viable business model. We plan to be in business for a long time to come, and hope to see many new customers use us to launch and grow their online presence!

To add my personal experience, Stephen, I set up a site for a local business. The key, as Monique mentioned, is setting up the Yola account in their name. Once the site was complete I handed over the login and password to the store to manage on their own.

I originally planned to do this for other businesses but life got in the way and that is not happening at present. There are several website companies though who do exactly what you're considering with no problems.
