Is there a map or widget that allows maps with multiple locations (i.e, pins). In other words, I want a map showing multiple locations. Thanks.

Hello, you could use Google Maps. Just click on "Maps" on the sidebar of the site builder. If that is not what you want let me know.

From what I can tell, you can only set one location using the Google Maps. I'd like to have several location highlighted on one map.

It's not possible to have a map showing multiple pins. The reason for this is that the Google Maps information that the widget is pulling on is not from your personalized Google Maps. The widget's sole purpose is to point to a single location. Remembering also, that the widget you are seeing is exactly the same widget that your users will encounter on the website - the Sitebuilder is not working with a "Developer's" or "Webmaster's" version of the widget. The only push pin you will see in there is for the initial location information that was inserted when you first dragged the widget to the page.

I'm sorry I don't have better news for you on that. You can however use two Google Maps Widgets if you would like.

For some reason, the location marker (which shows when I edit the map) doesn't survive when I save hit the PREVIEW mode or try to publish the site. What is wrong?

Hi Stringent,

Are you looking for something like this?
Hover over the big green dots. This is done using (HTML) image maps and Javascript.

Hi Stringent,

You can create maps with multiple markers (such as Youthview's map).

What you have to do is as follows:

1. Visit: Google Maps
2. Sign in with a Google Account
3. Click on the 'My Places' button in the left Sidebar of the Google Maps window.
4. You will now have to create a new map, name it and make it Public.
5. You will see three buttons in the Map area, click on the middle one and place the marker where you would like it to appear. You can now apply a message by typing in the text area.
6. Press Save and then Done.
7. Look in the top right hand side of the screen, you will see three buttons, the button on the right has a link Icon, click this. A drop down will appear, click on the link at the bottom - "Customise the map"
8. A new browser window will pop up, please select the size you would like and then click on the code at the bottom.

9. Go to and login to the Sitebuilder, find the page you would like to add the map to and then insert a HTML Widget onto the page.
10. Paste the code from Google Maps on there, then click Publish.

You will now have a map with markers, lines and shapes on! This is a really useful and quick tool from the Google toolbox!

If you need anymore help setting this up, please let me know.

Kind Regards,
