Margins - are they different with different templates?

I'm kind of unsatisfied that my website isn't able to stretch from one side of the screen to the other side, giving me more working space. Is this different with each template and are there some templates that don't have much of a margin? Yola should make the margins customizable so that every template's margins can be changed (decreased or increased). Take this getsatisfaction for example, the margins (red background) are similar to my site. I'd like to be able to use this space! Go look at wikipedia.org for example, they have the whole space, is this possible with Yola?

Try Level 2.0, it has a "fluid width" template.

...and to answer your next question (that you have not asked yet)

1) Upload a small plain white image to your file manager (width=60px, height=80px)
2) Next, copy the following code to the 1st HTML widget on your page.

<style type="text/css">body {background-image:url(http://YOUR SITE/resources/WHITE IMAGE.jpg);}</style>

Now you have a totally blank (fluid width) template!

does it have to be white? Will my page be white? How exactly does this work? And how do I get the image in the first place?

yea, I looked at Level 2.0... that wouldn't work... I don't like the title and menu. With my site they would clash together.

Is there a code that can change your CURRENT template and background to lesser margins?

@ Donald. It can be any colour you like.

Only the red strip across the top of the page will change, the rest of the page will remain white. You could even create one long image with a logo in it if you want.

The image would have to be 80px (77px to be exact but 80 will work too) high by the length of the widest screen resolution you would like to cater for. It would repeat othewise. I would make it about 77px by 2000px. The logo or image would have to to be on the left hand side somewhere.

You will also need to pull all the pages "out of the menu" else they will display over the image.

ok, that seems like too much maintenance that will probably mess up my site.

I just don't want to spend all this time and then find out it doesn't work with my site. I want to keep my banner (I'm willing to make it bigger to suit of the new margins) but I'd still like to keep my current banner. Also, I want the background color to remain the same or else I may have to change my font throughout the whole site (300 pages).

Yola should make margins customizable in all templates - Feature Suggestion!
