Margins no longer a problem!

About a week ago I asked some questions about the margin restrictions we have. Where the page doesn't go all the way to the screen. For those that don't know, we overlooked an option. Where text widgets have Margin sizes in the properties bar. If you change the left and right to a NEGATIVE number, it'll take the margin further to the edge of the screen. Test it out. Try changing a left and right margin to -100 and you'll see that your text widgets can be increased in size.

Discovering this gives me plenty of room. If I want to have a top AND side menu I can do that and still have plenty of space for the body.

However, the downfall is that I don't believe we can change the margins of HTML widgets via the properties bar.

The way to bypass that is to insert a text widget, click in side it, open up your HTML option, and insert your HTML. The text widget will allow for margin changes.

Be conservative in changing the margins though, people with smaller screens may see things cut off at the edges. I found this out the hard way.

Well... I'll remember that, but I know that I should be able to increase the size a little bit more and most or all computers should still suit to them. I know that right now I have about an inch and a half on each side of my page of blankness.

I'm having another problem though, that I need to resolve a.s.a.p. Never had this issue before until yesterday. I submitted a support ticket last night, but no response yet, and I really need to finish a site for a client.

The issue: the margin settings under the properties tabs are not functioning at all. I'm using Firefox as my editing browser, but I've gone into IE (latest version), and also checked a couple of my other sites, and it's simply not functioning at all. I change the margins and absolutely nothing happens. It's like it's not even acknowledging the changes I'm trying to make.

PLEASE ADVISE A..S.A.P.! Thanks Sanja!

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience in this matter.

Thanks Sanja. At least I know it's not just me. I hope they can get this resolved pretty quickly, as I'm sort of hitting a deadline. OUCH! :-)
