Hello, this isn't anything important... but I was just wondering...

One of my friends made a personal website with Yola and she had a Meebo(instant chat) gadget. But whenever she went to the site it would say "Student: offline. Leave a message", how does it know who you are? How does it let other people know that she is online? Does she have to go the edit site page on yola and go to meebo chat to be "online"? Really?? Sorry for all the questions... I was just wondering and thanks so much!

Hi Kokuro Karate,

I did a bit of investigating into this for you, since I am not a Meebo employee nor did I know this off the top of my head! It appears that your friend had created a status for the room, and that is why such message was appearing.

In order for her to be online, she will simply visit the published site and begin chatting.

I hope this helps to clear things up a bit! Meebo is a third party service with which we have integrated so that you can use their chatrooms on your Yola site. My best suggestion if you need further assistance in this regard, is that you contact them for support. You can contact them via their help page here: http://www.meebo.com/support.
