Menu buttons... We don't need no stinking menu buttons... What does everyone think of the changes?

I am starting to see buttons and code in my dreams and thank God I can say no more buttons. I have removed all the menu buttons up top from the style layout and replaced them with a vertical navigation bar on all but a few of my pages. I also added a set of horizontal buttons on the bottom and done some content shifting to make it more friendly.

I am a little overwhelmed and now you all know why my answering posts has been 1/4 of normal lately...

What does the forum think of my mouse breaking site??? Is it easier to navigate?

That was a modified phrase from the movie "The good the bad and the ugly" and was meant as humor...(Badges, we don't need no stinking badges)

Okay, maybe it was a little much but I was happy to finally get rid of the upper menu...

The vertical menu is a good improvement. Would you consider consolidating and using a tree structure of buttons so that you would have less buttons on any one page or creating a vertical drop-down menu to reduce the potential overwhelming vision of selections at any one instance?

I had the same thought - can you group contact me, about me, mr. honeypot, FAQ and legal to reduce the # of choices? also move pricing to slot 5 under home & the 3 product lines.

yeah you know I do want a tree sometime down the road but have used dozens of generators and and dozens of downloaded programs but have seen nothing I like and I liked the look of these too much to settle for a run of the mill nav bar which looks and responds bad. (I have tried many and did not like any)

When I start makin the big bucks then I'll hire someone to make me one but until then I will settle for these.

I'll think about the moves buddy but analytical says they click on it more if it's there but with then new layout I will try anything... And the only two that I can combine are the Contact me and Mr Honeypot because Legal reallllly has to be prominent and there's no way to combine FAQ with anything...

I'll give it a look see though

It is now, and will always be the "low-rider" of sites no matter what you change!

Buttons on all the pages.... check

Content... check

Ads... check

New top and bottom banners made by making an over sized button and then enlarging it then adding my info on it... check

All in all I am happy...

ed, it just looks better and better! I definitely prefer the new font and the image with the 6 houses is really cool. Is the second pic (next to the one that looks like the polaroid) also going to look like a polaroid? Or is it not coming out properly on my side (using FF3).

looks like Picnik had a bug...

I went in and deleted then replaced... I tested it with IE and Firefox. How does it look to you once you refresh?

Thanks for the catch... Funny nobody else said hey Ed that looks terrible you better change it.

Thanks Marije again for the catch and the kind words.

but I didn't miss it... there was an error on either Picniks side or the file manager side because I had it updated and was able to view it normally on my end but odly your end was wanky...

To me and on my screen it was two Polaroids and looked fine.

Hey could you do another fav and check to see if the send to a friend feature button under each vertical nav menu is there in IE because I cant see the buttons in my IE and I can't update until I reinstall XP due to an internal error. I won't be able to do that until next month.

I was just wondering if the buttons worked???

Thanks

you know the human brain can read a sentence if the first and last letters of each word over 4 letters are the same and the middle letters are jumbled. Pretty cool huh?

Thanks very much Marije I appreciate it immensely...

Monique I am gonna go back on my word with Marije and ask you what you think of my top and bottom banners... ;)

Here is a little humor to break up the day...

Kirkland Washington has dozens of bronze statues and one is a cow with a wolf on its back... Odd huh
