I am thinking about throwing in a customized menu... today hopefully... any ideas? I want it to LOOK very nice... attractability (appearance) is probably what makes a person decide to stay or go... the content is secondary. I'm kind of not happy with the appearance as much as I'd like to be. I am thinking about adding an accoridion style menu (maybe). Also, if I delete the Yola menu (this is possible isn't it?) will that expand the widgets to be able to use that extra space (where the yola menu was)?

Hi Donald

You can most certainly create your own custom menu. But you do not delete the Yola menu. What you actually do is just "hide" the menu. You do this by going to your "edit menu", then moving all your pages from the "in menu" to "out menu".

When you create your customized menu, you will need to add the links in so that it will take to your pages. You will also need to add this menu to every page as the menu is hidden on all pages.

There are lots of different ways to do a menu and yes.. you can do an accordion style menu if you wish.

or

its hard to make it, add to it and make it appear an overy page, i recently changed the look of my menu and it takes a while for me with a 35 page site to change it all!

yes, I forgot the website, it's on a thread I posted last week sometime, I found the accordion style there... anyways... if you move all links out of the menu... then isn't there just going to be a big empty space where the menu would normally go?

Oh.. yes.. sorry.. I forgot about what template you're using. Yes.. that won't work for you then. You'll need to find a template that has a horizontal menu and then you can add your accordion style menu by using a two column widget and adding the HTML to the left hand side one.

in cleenslate (what i use) the space where the default menu goed has gone, there is no trace of the old one, create a test site and see if it works on your template,

yea... that's gonna be an issue... adding new topics will be on hold for a few days if I change the template because the alignments fit perfectly to my pictures and will mess up everything if I change a template. I couldn't use the text/picture wrapping option bc most of my pictures have a title underneath which can't be centered under the picture unless text is in one widget and picture/picture title in another.
