My site is already verified with Google's Meta Tag. How do I add a Meta Tag so that Norton Safe Web can also verify it?

Hi Matthew,

Norton requires you to upload a file to the root directory of your site in order to verify ownership.

However, it does seem like they offer an alternative that will work with Yola. See this post from their Community: http://community.norton.com/norton/bo....

From this post it seems that you need to send them a support request explaining that you are unable to upload a file to your root directory, and that you need to use the metatag verification method instead.

They then suggest adding it as a keyword metatag. You can do this via the Properties sidebar in the Yola Sitebuilder by pasting it in the designated "keyword" box.

I am sorry we don't have a simpler solution, but I hope this helps you achieve the desired result.

Hi,
I'm not using Yola ATM, but I'm sure that there is a way to verify without Norton's support.

Did you verfy your site with Yahoo, Bing , Alexa or Yandex ?

To add additional metatags to your site , copy the given metatag to a raw text editor , and put the text in a HTML widget , which copied from that raw text editor(use notepad.exe, Start > Run > Notepad.exe. In Ubuntu , Applications > Tombos notes).

Make sure that you put that HTML widget ON VERY TOP OF THE INDEX PAGE.

Good luck!
