Mobile phone site

Hi everyone, I saw my site on a mobile phone today and it says "FONT" at the start of nearly every line,

And the site looks very messy and strange, all the info seems to be there but it was showing up as a very long, thin website, with the words "font" and "fontfont" everywhere,
Does anyone know if this is easy to fix?

Thanks

Hello Sarah,

That is an issue with the Yola Sitebuilder, the Sitebuilder uses the font tag (i.e. <font>) which is not accessible on the Mobile Safari browser.

This is because the font tag has been depreciated and is no longer supported. Yola need to change the Sitebuilder so that it creates either <span> or <p> tags.

Kind Regards,

Andi

This is still in Beta and we have been listing problems to be fixed for the staff. I had reported that one ...These are bugs Yola will need to address and nothing we can fix on our own

Ok thanks guys, that's a bit disappointing, it looks crazy on first impressions on a mobile, oh well I guess they will fix it soon enough if they know it is happening.

They are off to a decent start though....There are some other issues I need to list also.I figure they just got back from holiday and should be starting to delve into fixing bugs.I think it is worth enabling at this point though.

We are definitely back into the swing of things and our engineers are working hard on perfecting the Mobile Pushing before releasing it out of Beta. Thanks for continuing to help us spot the kinks, guys. We are really excited for this feature.

I checked my sites on an iPhone and on a Windows & phone and the font problem doesn't seem to affect me. Is it because of the very simply design or the boring structure of my sites? I'm NOT complaining...
Hi, great new feature you have added, one small problem I have is the "font" verbiage appears in my content.

example as shown on a mobile device:

fontAs a business owner you want to focus on your business, not the many complex tasks associated with selecting the right business applications, tools, services, and building an effective web presence.

mobile app issue.

It didn't used to happen to me a few months ago, but now it does on nearly all phones, it just creates such a wrong first impression after all the hard work it takes to make the site. If i was a potential customer and I saw that, it would definately put me off.

I'm not trying to complain either, I love Yola and it has helped my business loads, but this one particular problem is really bugging me, I don't see this one as a small problem at all, when I saw there was a reply on the thread I was really hoping it was the staff telling us it had been fixed

It is now very important as I said on another thread...phones/tablets will pass PCs in less than two years as the preferred method for web browsing.

Agreed, this is a major bug that will be fixed with our next release.
Just another issue to report - some images appear very large for some reason and take up a huge amount of space on the page being displayed.
Hi, what is the status of the mobile app please ?

I see a few things were fixed thank you very much!

Here is what isn't fixed

Go to Site Navigation and click a category and all is well until I click a link to a product page. At this point the page is no longer optimized for mobile and there is no side scroll...All anyone can see is the left side of my web page. Site Navigation is gone at this point also .

Thanks. By "product page" do you mean a page containing a PayPal shopping cart? Will look into this further.
