More Customization for Theme/Style Templates

It would very cool if site-makers could have more customization ability on the site themes for their website. I'm using the Midnight template, and the text and pictures on my site seems too narrow. I would love to be able to add clickable tabs to different pages/sites on the sides; have better-looking backgrounds; updates on things on your site or something pertaining to your site's creation. Thanks in advance :)

Hi SoCo,

Each style is unique and has it's own dimensions. The artist who creates it decides on the different effects. We have have a selection of templates that range from very wide to very narrow to accommodate different screen resolutions and different tastes. Unfortunately the width of the templates cannot be adjusted. The advantage of narrower styles is that people with smaller screens will not have to scroll horizontally to view your pages.

By clickable tabs, do you mean more pages on your site? If you click on "New Page" you can add pages to your site and it will automatically add a link on your menu. You can choose to have this page hidden if you choose.

We have four styles that allow you to use your own background. They are CleanSlate, BareNecessities, NoFrills and SqueakyClean. These styles can be found in the first 10 of the style selection (click on 'Change Style' to see the style selection). To change your background on your page, follow these steps:
1. Click on the Properties tab on the sidebar on the right
2. At the bottom of the Properties tab, under 'Background image' click on the three dots (...) to choose or upload an image
3. Click on ok and the image will be added as a background to your page

Please note that the background will apply to that specific page and not to the whole site. To remove the background image, follow the same steps above and click on the 'None' button in the image selector dialog box that opens.

There are a few ways you can keep updated on changes that have been made to SynthaSite:
- subscribe to our newsletter (you can select this by logging in and editing your account info under the My Sites tab)
- view our blog regularly as we post updates there
- view the forum regularly as we also post updates on new features here.

I hope the information above helps - please let us know if you need any other info.
