Well I was just going to make a password protected page for my site when I noticed that you could only add 1 password for the whole site!
I would like to make a suggestion for Yola that we could put more passwords on the site.
Oh and anyone who agree`s with me click the "I like this idea" button bellow and hopefully we can get it!

Hi Dill,

This is a feature that we know many people would like to have, and we hope to add it in future. We will need to do quite a bit of development to make this possible, so please be patient while we work on this.

Well if you don`t want people from the public seeing want you have on the page(s)/site then yes it can be very useful!
But if you want to make the whole site public then it is not necessary.

Sometimes people have websites that they only want friends, or certain people to be able to access. They don't want the general public to be able to see it. In this situation they would then put password protection on their site.

ok thanks for the info.I really don't need a password protected site then. But it might be a good idea to be able to lock some pages with the password and not the whole site.!!

Here is an example of someone who needs different passwords for different pages.

One of my clients is a professional photographer. After she photographs a wedding or other event she wants to place some of the photos on her website so the family can view them. The Jones family pictures would be on one page and the Smith family photos on another page. The Jones family should not be able to see the photos of the Smith family or vice-versa.

Unfortunately she needs a new website by the end of April. What is the status of additional passwords on a Yola site?

We absolutely understand this use case. You may be interested in this thread with several suggestions for 3rd party applications that will allow a membership login and are compatible with Yola sites.
