Hello Gail,

You can publish your site to a yolasite sub-domain. When the day of custom domain expiry happens then your site will still be discoverable but not automatically. To have automatic re-direction you will still need an active custom domain.

Okay, so to be clear... I republish the existing site somehow to a different domain and then I can reuse the custom domain?

That's a second issue but correct. Once a site is released from a domain by "unpublishing" then that domain is available for a new association..

The domain expiry is not altered by this process. In other words, if it expires next week on your original site and you reassign it to new content or site, it (the domain) will still expire next week.

You will loose continuity by publishing a site to another (sub) domain without linking to the original. It's like starting fresh.

Help me understand that last part. Will my pages pf my site simply be published to a different URL?

The publishing of your site to another (sub) domain is in your control/setup. If you publish to another (sub) domain, people will not find you by typing in the old domain address specifically after your first domain expires.

There is a process whereby a user can type in another domain address and arrive at a secondary domain but both domains must be current. If either expires then this may/will stop.
