Hello all!
I have inserted a picture to act as a thumbnail that links to a pdf (which contains other related images and text, etc). I need to have a narration, and therefore added the MP3 file. However, the audio file stops playing when the pictures is clicked and the pdf opens? Any ideas on how can I solve this issue?
Thanks!

Hello Liliana - would you be able to post a link to the page so that we can take a look?

Hi Marije,
Here is the link. The page in question is Courses & Projects. I would like for the visitors to listen to the MP3 while clicking on the thumbnail and open the pdf.
Thanks for your help...

Hi Liliana,

Thanks for the further information and sharing your site link. I was able to listen to your MP3 player and open your PDF file at the same time without hesitation. I have created a small video to show you this, you can view it here: Liliana's Video.

Every computer will open a document a bit differently. Is your document being opened on the same window as your website or in a separate program on your computer?

Hi Brianna,
Thanks for your answer. Still not working. The file pops out on the same window. Is there another way to do it?
Thanks again!

Hi Liliana,

One option you have is embedding the PDF into your site so your visitors can view the entire document on your website without having to download it. Here's how:

Your visitors will need the necessary plugin to access (usually Acrobat Reader) your PDF.

1. Upload your PDF file to the File Manager.
2. Drag and drop an HTML Widget onto your page.
3. Paste the following tag into the HTML editor that opens:

!--embed width="600" height="400" src="resources/test.pdf">--!
(make sure to remove the !-- as that is what allows me to add this code on our forum. Also make sure your code has a < and > before embed and after pdf)

4. Replace test.pdf with the exact file name of your file.
5. Remember to include any folder names in the file path if your file is stored in a folder in the File Manager. For example: "resources/PDF/test.pdf"

Alternatively, you can use slideshare.net to embed your PDF document.

1. Sign up for a free account with slideshare.
2. Go to "Upload" at the top of your screen.
3. Upload your file(s). Then click on "Publish" (or "Publish All" if you have more than 1 file).
4. Once your file has been converted, then click on the file you want to embed.
5. On the right-hand side, you will see a green box with "Embed" and a code provided. Please copy this code.
6. In the Sitebuilder, drag-and-drop an HTML Widget from the sidebar on the right onto your page (the icon for this is a blue sphere).
7. An HTML editor will open up that will allow you to write or paste your code (use right-click > paste or ctrl-V to paste).
8. When you are done, click "OK" and you will see the way that the HTML displays on your page.

Please let me know how you feel about these suggestions.
