Music receiving and sharing

Hello

I'm wanting to create a website to promote local bands and musicians by displaying information about them and sharing some of their music.

Apart from them sending me music files to my email address, is there a way for them to upload their music files straight to my website? Without me having upload them from my email?

Hello Edward

Unfortunately not. That would maybe require individual visitor logins which Yola does not offer at the moment.

I understand that you're looking for a way to make things more convenient for you, but I'd actually think it may be better to upload videos from people to my website myself because this way you can make sure that no one can upload videos you don't want (bad quality, questionable content, commercial spam, etc.).

Hello Edward,

DISQUS is a greatly respected free commentary system for websites and blogs. It's a means whereby your readers can add comments but also they can add links within their comments. The links are live and can be sound files, movie files or documents. Yola's limitation for files storage is a max of 100 Mb for the Silver subscription and 5Mb for Bronze and free subscriptions so it is likely that you will need to host the files externally for a start. If your contributors have done this already then I think that you will minimise your own effort in managing the files that you wish to include.

I'm thinking that this would be a way for you to see their contributions then include the approved links into the body of your site for you to feature?
