I made the neon banner from the gen on honey bear playhomes (great site) to use for link exchanges. Everything went fine putting it on my links page of my site http://thebowmine.synthasite.com . I put the code in the html and then i made a text box and copied it there too so that people could copy it for their site. My sister tried to put it on her site, she copied the code and put it in an html widget but all that came up is a white box. Im kinda new at site building and working with animated banners and was wondering if anybody knows what i may have done wrong or maybe its something she didn't do when putting on her site, or don't animated banners work that way? Help. Thanks

Hi Debbie,

The reason that the code won't work is because they need the swf file that you use to display the flash. This is easily fixed, you can change the code so that wherever this is mentioned:

"resources/flashvortex.swf"

is changed to

This is so that it can find the file it's looking for. If you've put this file into a folder in the File Manager, remember to include it (eg. resources/folder/flashvortex.swf).

Let us know if you need any other help!

Hi Debbie

I edited your code to include the full URL of your flash banner. Just copy the code below between the <!-- and the --> and replace the code on your page with the new one and your sister and anyone that wishes can include your banner on the there pages.

It had to do with an address issue and as the full URL for your swf file was not there the code was saying look in my resources folder and without your file there in your sisters folder it had nothing to look at and find...

Happy site building
