I'm sorry your having these problems. I've visited your site and everything looks in order/right for me. Is it not looking right for you on your published site or in the sitebuilder?

Hi PlatinumTears,

I'm also sorry to hear you're having trouble. I took screenshots of both blogs you linked to. Do one or both of these look as expected?

From what I read it sounds like the issues you're experiencing are on the site builder side so it may be best to hold off on deleting anything until we can resolve the problem.

I'll have an engineer take a look at your blogs and get back to you when I have more information. Thanks for your patience as we work through this together.

Hi PlatinumTears - we understand that you are experiencing problems with your blog and Laura is going to ask one of our engineers to take a look. As it is weekend, it may take a little longer than normal and she should have an answer back for you early next week.

Apologies for the delay in the meantime.

Hi there,

So one of our engineers just took a look at your blogs but unfortunately, in order for him to assist you I'll need to gather a little more information. From what we can see on our end it looks good. Can you please indicate specifically what is missing or what is appearing that shouldn't be? If you're struggling to explain the issue, often times a screenshot of the specific problem is very effective.

Thanks for your continued patience as we work towards a solution.

www.platinumtears.com/wha-blows is a very messed up page it should look like www.platinumtears.com/wha-blow as i explained previously i renamed the original wha blow to wha blows and had to manually copy and paste some of the blogs from the wha blows blog manager to the www.platinumtears.com/wha-blow blogs manager. The blog widget will not add to wha blows as it is being blocked by the faulty html code thus please advise said engineer to..

1. Please delete the html off wha blows so i can add the blog widget and get back my archived posts and stop loosing traffic

2. Check the opening page error is gone and widgets can be added to wha blows

2. Migrate the data from wha blows blog widget to wha blow page and i will then no longer need wha blows page

So sorry about this! It is a very difficult time of year for us as many of our engineers are taking a much needed break. If an issue is too technical for the support team our ability to help slows right down. The person who Laura asked to help initially is not here right now, but I am going to do my best to find out if there is someone else who can assist. Please bear with us. We will be back to full strength from the 3rd week of January. This is an explanation of what went wrong, but we of course realize that it is no excuse for leaving you without assistance for this long!

I have some news for you. We have made some progress on this. Your page www.platinumtears.com/wha-blows now has the missing content displaying on it. Now we need to delete the invalid code that is causing some issues on the page. Can you please tell us what was the last piece of code you added to the page that caused this to happen.

Yes, some codes can make Yola frizz out for whatever reason. Most of the time on custom built sites it's the fact that other codes don't agree with each and cancel each other out. Try like Kershnee said and remove the last thing you put on and refresh the page. Good luck!

Hi PlatunumTears,

Firstly, thank you for your patience while we help you resolve this issue.

I have some feedback from the Engineer fixing this issue.
Basically he can't easily remove the offending widget from "wha-blows" blog page. Also, it is not possible to merge the blog pages "wha-blow" and "wha-blows" together.
What we can do however is recreate a new blog page for you.
We just need to know if we should use "wha-blow" or "wha-blows" blog page to create the new blog page? I am assuming it is "wha-blows" but we just need to double check and find out which one has all the posts in it.

If we do recreate your blog page, all your posts will reappear on the new blog page, but your "none blog widgets" won't, these would need to be re-added in. Are you ok with this?

Please let me know if we should go ahead and recreate your page for you.

Once again, thank you for your patience.

A recreated page would be great please name it 2009 wha blow (can't think of a suitable name yet) as I don't want the wha blows page to be used anymore after this. Thanks for your assistance

Your site is not gone, but there does seem to be an intermittent problem with loading various of our published sites at this time. We are looking into it and will let you know as soon as we have any further information.

Hi PlatinumTears,

I've got an update for you. All your posts have been moved to a new blog page called - "new-blog-page".

The invalid HTML on the page is causing an issue with your layout. We are still looking into this and trying to resolve this issue for you. Once I have more info will get back to you.

Hello PlatinumTears

I believe we have fixed the layout issue. The reason why this occurred is because it would appear that you have copied and pasted text from an external source.

I need to advise you that when you copy and paste rich text directly from MS Word (or another word processor) onto your site, this brings along a whole lot of unwanted formatting that is not web friendly and can easily break your page. It can also cause your site to show up inconsistently in different browsers. The problem might not always show up immediately, but sometimes it happens after you save and navigate to a different page or log out and log in again. To avoid display and loading issues, the best alternative is first to paste your text into NotePad (in the accessories folder of your computer) and then paste it as plain text onto your Yola page. You can then use the Yola text editor to format your text as desired. ***Please note that this would be the case with any browser-based text editor you might use, not just Yola. It is a universal website building problem.***

It's also always a good idea to keep a copy of your text in a .txt file from Notepad so that you have a backup copy kept on your PC.

The solution in this case - you can delete the page or delete the existing text and then re-add it to your page following the steps above.

You can also use this Text Editor to format and spell check your text and strip out MS Word code. It will generate valid markup which you can safely paste into the Yola site builder.

You will also see that the content of your layout pushes out the side. The reason why this happens is because you have an extra long tag under your tag category. You have put in links instead of words. If you take out the link, you should see your content layout resume to normal.

Please let me know if you have any further trouble with this. We appreciated your patience as we worked this out.
