Hi Asshi,

We have a tutorial outlining the steps to configuring your domain, giving two popular domain name registrars as examples: http://www.synthasite.com/tutorials/p.... There are also instructions on how to use ZoneEdit if your domain name registrar does not provide you with domain name management. However, most domain name registrars can assist you with an A record, in which case you would not need to use a third party service like ZoneEdit.

These are general instructions on how to configure your domain to point to SynthaSite. If you require specific help with the interface of your domain name registrar, please contact them for support.

How to configure a domain name you already own:
1. Log in to your chosen domain registrar (eg. GoDaddy.com, Register.com)
2. Go to the DNS Management page
3. Set up an A Record
4. The IP address of your record must point to: "208.75.208.172"

Please note that it can take up to 48 hours (although usually less) for these changes to take effect and you need to contact your domain registrar if you need help in that regard. Feel free to forward any instructions you receive from them to us so that we can advise you further.

Once you have configured your DNS settings, click the yellow "Publish My Site" button in SynthaSite. Click on the blue link at the bottom of the dialog box that says "Already Own a Domain?" Fill in your domain name and follow the prompts to publish your site. If you have any difficulty with this please let us know.

Once your site is published to your domain the hard part is over and you will be able to edit your site and then update it with a single click!

Hi asshu,

1. You will need to contact your domain registrar for help with setting up your A Record.

2. Who are you registered with?

3. With SynthaSite you have unlimited space for your website. There is a limit of 10mb per individual file, but no limit on the number of files you can upload.

4. You will need to renew your domain name when your current one expires.

Please let us know if you have any more questions.

HI Asshu,

Unfortunately I can't find any information on domainz.in on how to configure your domain - my suggestion is that you give them a call as they have a number displayed on their site.

You can add video's to your site, there's more info on this thread: http://getsatisfaction.com/SynthaSite...

The link to SynthaSite at the bottom of the page can't currently be removed as they're part of the Terms of Service you agree to when you sign up.

I'm not sure of any free portal sites that you are looking for - if anyone else has any in mind, feel free to post them here.

Hi asshu,

If you can't login to the cpanel of your domain registrar, you would need to contact them to find out why.

Pointing your domain by setting up an A Record and using SynthaSite's IP address will only affect your website. If it's done correctly, it won't affect your email or other settings on your domain. I'm not sure what you mean by subdomains - are you publishing those to SynthaSite too?
