Hi Lee,

Wow, I have to say I am not sure why that might have happened to you, but I don't doubt that you experienced it as I am sure you would not have removed it. I have checked a few other sites to make sure the Google Webmaster code is still in place and it is.

We have not received any other reports of this nature currently, but we will be looking out for them. And please, if you see anything like this again please let us know so we can investigate further.

Hi Emmy,

And again today...

Does this only happen to me? If so I wonder why?

I can assure you I have not deleted the code myself, not even by accident.

It might be worth investigating further.

Lee.

its a strange 1 -- i'm putting it down to evil goblins :)

Hows you? - I almost have my site ready for switching over - every time i'm about to do it I learn something new and re think the whole thing. I'm trying to create the ability to allow users to edit their own page. The nightmare is trying to allow automatic page creation but only for those who deserve it (i.e. hexham business not viagra.com) . The other huge nightmare is 301 redirects and (what i still have not worked out) is how to get a server to give you the correct page if the user is not using a page extension?? If you have any clue on how to do this let me know.

But i'm loving learning about new stuff, I've sorted the menu out using the php function 'include', you've probably come across it, it simply includes a file on the page and displays it. I have my site live on http://w.hexham.info if you want a sneak peak but it looks about the same on the home page. Notice tho that the menu is slightly different, I've written that myself using css3 - I'm going to share it with the Yola community later today, it's a perfect easy menu to add which doesn't require images at all.

Speak soon, Lee.

Once your site has been verified by Google you should have nothing to worry about. As far as I know it is just used to ensure that the site is yours, or that you are in fact the webmaster.
