My website violetvayne.co.uk has several links. These links are showing with a white background which I have tried to change but can't. I have managed to change the colour for when you hover over it but not otherwise. I don't think it looks right with the white background against the purple. Any help would be so so so appreciated.
Thanks :D

Hi Violet,

The code Kevin provided will do the trick, but if you are not comfortable adding CSS code to your site, you can also change your link color manually using the Text Widget. Simply highlight your link and change the color using the "Font Color" option on your Text Editing Toolbar to choose a different color.

You will need to repeat these steps for each link you add to your site. Please note that you may not see the changed color in your Sitebuilder. You will need to use the preview page to see if the color of your links have successfully changed.

Thanks Laura. I've tried that already but it doesn't work. The background of the link is white (which I've tried changing but it won't change) and when I hover over it the background colour of the link is purple which is fine as the background is purple. I don't know how to get the background white colour of the link off.

Hi Kevin
I don't understand where I need to put the CSS code??!! :D

Hi Violet

If the link is in a Text Widget, you can add it to the Text Widget using the HTML button. If you click inside the Text Widget, you will see the Text Editing Toolbar appear under the main menu. Click on the HTML button (it's the one furthest on the right). You will the text as it appears in HTML form. Add the code Kevin has posted, above the existing text.
