My picture uploader will not work on my computer, but will work on other computers. Why?

It goes to the "Upload" bar, but seems to freeze and NEVER uploads. I am not shown an error. It does this when I use SD cards, cd's and just regular files from the C: drive.

I have cleared the Cache and Cookies, Adobe Flash Player is WIN 10,1,53,64 (it is NOT a Debug), I have Windows XP and it is Video/Audio Capable & Local File I/O is Enabled.
I also restarted my computer after this.

I noticed this issue after I downloaded Limewire, Frostwire and DivX Player.
Since, I have deleted all 3 programs from my system and I still have an issue.

Hi Rebecca,

I'm sorry to hear this is happening and it certainly sounds like you've tried a lot of the steps.

Could you let us know what browser and browser version are you using? If you are using Google Chrome, please note that this is not currently a supported browser for Yola, and older versions are particularly problematic. Preferably switch to a different browser (Firefox, IE or Safari), but at the very least make sure you are running the latest version of Chrome.

Even if you have checked that you are using the latest version of Flash, we have found that if you uninstall and then reinstall Flash that can solve the problem.

If you have access to a different browser, computer or network environment please try to upload a file and let us know if the error still occurs or if you get a different result.

If none of the above works, could you post your site's URL and let us know what file format you are trying to upload so that we can take a look?

Thank you for working with us while we try to solve the problem.

Okay, I used IE and it gave me a basic uploader but prompted me to put Adobe Flash on IE. So, I uploaded it.

After, when I hit the uploader, the "Upload from Computer "option is no longer functional- it has a red "X" in the upper left corner of the button and it was un-clickable. The "Upload from Yola" button worked fine.

On Firefox,
I uninstalled Adobe Flash and reinstalled it and I am still having the same exact problem.

I have used 2 different computers and I have NO ISSUES. It is just this computer and I do not have access to the other 2 on a regular basis.

I downloaded Google Chrome and NOW I AM ABLE TO DOWNLOAD MY PICTURES!

THANK YOU!

Hi Rebecca,
In firefox can you click on to 'Help' and then click on 'About Mozilla Firefox' and tell us what version of FireFox you are using.

Hello Rebecca

I'm glad to hear that you were able to finally download your pictures using a different browser. Though it is still puzzling that you are not able to use Firefox.

Hmm.. I wonder if your Java needs to be updated? If you wish to give this a try, here's the link: http://www.java.com/en/download/manua...

Hmm.. very strange! I wonder if you have a setting on your Firefox browser that prohibits uploads or if you have any add-ons that may be affecting your ability to use the picture uploader?

Also, do you have anything like Firewalls, anti-virus, adblockers, etc.. running? If so, you can try disabling them to see if that helps?

Not that I know of- it actually worked fine with Mozilla until mid-July.

We didn't really change anything other than what I had mentioned.
Limewire had installed a tool bar but I had removed it. Perhaps that caused an issue?

It may have Rebecca but I'm not sure as I'm not familiar with Limewire. You may want to check if in the process of originally downloading Limewire, it also downloaded some other programs? Have you restarted your computer since uninstalling Limewire?

Yes, I have- I removed it shortly after I had downloaded back in July.

Do you know if in the process of downloading.. other programs were installed and perhaps were not removed?

I had looked through at the time and didn't notice anything different on my system except something called "BigFix" and I have unistalled and deleted that as well.

I am thinking perhaps there was a virus hidden in a file somewhere causing issues with Mozilla.

Hey Rebecca - perhaps it would be worth uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox? Sometimes that can help with these types of issues...

I UnInstalled Mozilla Firefox and then ReInstalled It-

This did not correct the issue at all in Mozilla Firefox. The picture uploader does not work there. Only on Google Chrome on my computer.

Hi Rebecca - at this point we're completely stumped! Your settings seem correct and it works in a different browser, so we're really not sure what else to suggest. I hope you can continue working in a different browser and perhaps another update in the future will set everything straight. I'm sorry we don't have any further suggestions for you.
