2) I need forum/ chat room area for those public members, how can I get this?
3) I need a page that can hold the blogs of the 4 to 5 members who will run the site separate from the public members, how can I get this?
4) I need to upload Pictures that exceed the maximum space available in the uploading boxes how can I get this?
5)I think synthasite should have a Check Out These New Sites kind of thing on the Homepage to help promote everyones websites but hey thats just me...

Hi Rodney
All great questions. Let me see if I can answer all of them:
1) A member login area is a feature we still have to work on. It is on our list of requested features, so hopefully in future we can make it available
2) You could add a Meebo room to your site. Here is a link to a post in this forum that will tell you how.
3) Password protection for your site, or part of it, is also a feature that is in our release plan, so we hope to release this in the coming months.
4) Uploading pictures in excess of 5MB (or even 100KB!) has a serious drawback, as it would make your pages impossible to load in people's browsers. The page would either just sit there forever trying to load, or it would timeout. Most people would just click off your site rather than wait. We try to encourage people to upload web friendly images, and this is why we have the restriction in place. If you want to share large files you could use a free file sharing service like and link to your file from your site.
5) We agree with you - a directory of sites would be a great idea. At the moment we link to some featured sites from our homepage, but we want to improve the way this works in future.

SynthaSite has only been around for about 7 months, so we are still in the early stages of our development. We appreciate hearing what people would like for their sites, and we pay attention to what they say when we plan our development. So you can expect SynthaSite to improve and develop all the time!

Best wishes
