My site is http://alaskadigipic.synthasite.com. I have updated my site a few times already just to make sure that wasn't the problem.
Thanks

It opens in firefox but the menu bar is skewed - not really that big of a problem. I will be gone most of the day but will try upgrading IE as well. Still having the same issue with IE6. I'll write more when I get home tonight.
Thanks
Rhonda

I just noticed that the screen print you posted has the menu bar problem - did u use firefox? All the links should be on the same line and then another color bar should be directly underneath. But again, it's really not that big of a problem.

I was able to open your site in IE7 and in FF. The menu bar is different in both. Links show up underneath main menu bar in FF and on the same line in IE7. With both browsers, the end of the menu bar is cut off and is relocated under the main menu bar on the right. My assumption would be that your menu bar is too long and that's why it's being cut off? I would suggest trying to make it smaller and see if that resolves the problem?

I just realized that is the way the template comes. I think you might have too much wording for the menu bar to accommodate. If you were to shorten Photodot Jewelry to just "Jewelry".. that would give you more room and everything might show up on the same menu bar.

Also.. another thing I noticed is that your header "Rhonda Rogalski Photography" creates a minor problem. On FF, it seems to extend on top of your menu bar and on IE7, the bottom of your header gets hidden behind the menu bar so only part of the words show up. My suggestion is to make your header all one line instead of two lines. This should resolve that problem.

Hi bubba

I get the same as Littleus - opens fine in Firefox and IE 7. Also fine in Safari.

There is a problem with the menu. The style you are using only supports one row of menu links, so when it wraps to a second row because you have more than one rows worth of pages, the menu starts to have display problems.

Your options would be:
1) Use a different style.
2) Reduce the number of pages in your menu.
3) Create subpages. For a tutorial on creating subpages, see: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/creatin...

I hope our feedback is helpful to you. You have a lovely website and I hope it brings you plenty of success.

Hello Bubba,

Your site is a beautiful creation of images. There's a lot of work there particularly in setting out the matrix of thumbnails. I think you would shudder at the thought of having to redo it all in another style.

I think littleus' suggestions are probably the way to retain what you have and not have a major impact on your presentation. Looking at the names of your headings and shortening them without loosing impact is important.

I look at your heading like "night lights" and think that simply the word "night" wouldn't lose the interest of the person browsing your site.

Similarly changing "flowers & plants" to "flora" wouldn't lessen the intended description and using common abbreviations for "black & white" to "b&w" would also work in my mind.

Littleus has pointed at your jewellery heading and your name issue. I think that something along these lines would fix it for you fairly easily.

I wish you well for your solution to this problem.

Hi Rhonda

Your menu bar is looking great! Much better than before. I just wanted to point out about your header though. I still think you should get this fixed. I would suggest making it all one line instead of two. I've posted a screen shot of what your header looks like now.. as you can see below, the IE7 one, the bottom half of your header is hidden behind the menu bar. On Firefox, it overlaps with your menu bar.

On IE&:

On FF:

Thanks for you comments about the header. It only allows so many characters and then automatically wraps. I am in th eprocess of changing it but I have to do it on all the pages - 132. I am also considering deleting it and adding a small header image at the top of the body, but for now it's just taking some time to change all the pages.

John, I am in the process of adding your site to my links page. I have very many for my local area so I am going to create sub menus for the links page and then add yours to it once I am done. Thanks for the link exchange, I really appreciate it. I will visit the ones you have and see if they are interested in exchanging with me. Thanks again!

Ugghh.. I feel for you. Hmm.. maybe you could do an acronym? RRP Then, underneath your menu bar, you could add the site's full name?

The thing Google is looking for as far as link building is if the sites that link to you relate to your site in some way.
