if it is at the bottom of the page than this is normal,
because your website is free you have a footer linking back to yola, to get rid of it you need to upgrade to one of yola's premium packages,
you can see the link on my site too
http://tellyads.yolasite.com/

hope this helps
alex

P.S.
you get loads of other cool features with yola's premium packages.

Hi jenniferberres

I see that Alex has answered your question. To add to his response, the Yola link is on the footer of all free sites. If you would like the Yola link removed, you can upgrade to Yola Silver. Please have a look at all our packages and what they offer, on our Pricing page.

Please let us know if you need more help or have more questions.

Thanks
Nazlie

PS: thanks for your help, Alex! :)

Hi Jenifer, Since Yola provides this service to you for 100% free, I think that links needs to be on there. It's on mine too: http://www.nathansmusicstudio.tk/ But, when you pay for it, you don't need it on there since yo are supporting them. That Yola link supports them.

I hope this helps you understand! :)

Hi Jakes, yeah I upgraded to Yola Silver. If you are planning to upgrade you better upgrade before December 31st, 2010 or you'll have to pay $99.95/yr! Right now it is $49.95/yr. But they are adding new loads of features which is why it is increasing.

Hi, jenniferberres,

You can certainly add your own Google ads if you wish. Google AdSense matches advertisements to your site's content and audience, and depending on the type of ad, you can earn money from clicks or impressions.

You can place AdSense on your page by using the Google AdSense Widget:

1. Open the Ecommerce folder and drag and drop the Google AdSense Widget onto your page.
2. A dialog box will open, click on the link in the dialog box to sign up for an Adsense account (if you don't already have one).
3. Once you've registered your account and customized your ad, copy the advertising code provided by Google.
4. Paste the code back in the dialog box on your Yola site and click "OK". Don't forget to republish your site by clicking on the green "Publish to the web" button.

You can also add Google AdSense using the Widgetbox Gallery:

1. Drag and drop a Widgetbox Gallery Widget from the Widget Collections folder onto your page.
2. A dialog box will open, click on the Google category.
3. Click on the Google AdSense Widget and edit the settings by adding your account information.
4. Click on the green "Get Widget" button and it will be saved and added to your page.
5. Save and don't forget to republish your site by clicking on the green "Publish to the web" button.

Please remember that you might not see the ad immediately, it can take a short while for it to be initialized by Google. Wait few minutes, and click "refresh" and the ads will display.

Omg I figured a way out!! :D It works perfectly! At the bottom of each page, make a html widget, go to this site to get the text from: http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?f... (I can't post it here for some reason) Warning it may get rid of anything at the very bottom like a line border. For me I'm fine with it.

Hello Mark,

I need to advise you that removing our Yola Link at the bottom of your site through a hack is going against our Terms of Service. Please remove this code from your site. If you do not remove this, then this could result in your site being taken down. I really don't wish to do this!

If you wish to remove the link, you will need to upgrade to Yola Silver. One of the fantastic features of this package is having the Yola Link removed for all sites in that account! There are many other awesome features included in this package. For more information, please see: Yola Silver FAQs

But is it REALLY a hack? It actually happened by accident. Lol

Hello Mark,

A "code hack" is just a code that changes something. It isn't actually "hacking", like you think. Code hacks aren't illegal or anything. But if you remove the Yola banner at the bottom, that is against the Yola TOS and, as Sanja said, may result in your site being taken down.

I hope this helps clear up any confusion.

Sincerely,
Nathan
