How can I get feedback about the design of my website? My site is getting a small amount of traffic but people seem to go and not purchase. Is my design okay?

Hello Lyndsey,

Early days with high expectations is the norm for an e-com site creator. You've put your heart in and the doubts are part of the territory.

You have said that at this time you have low numbers of visitors to your site. I think your focus should be on increasing traffic at this stage and to some extent let the commerce follow. Yola have a large resource of how to promote and advertise your site Promotion, SEO, Traffic and Advertising which wraps it up fairly nicely and a good resource to work with.

You know that buyer numbers really are only a fraction of vistors for luxury items, similar to window shoppers in any main street boutique shopping centre. Most won't buy but some will and busy sites have a higher chance of converting visitors into buyers.

Your products are good. I can follow the navigation to them although I would probably take out a step in the walk to the store just to make it a less click pathway. I think your site look and design has less to do with conversions than the passing trade so as I have said if you can get more passing trade walking in then I think your sales will begin to follow. Your site designs as far as appearance is attractive and invites the bright colour viewer along the path.

Good luck Lyndsey and just keep at it with some more follow up and some patience.

Thankyou Gop. I'm working alongside my SEO to develop my traffic, but I assume thats just a waiting game. Thankyou for your positive feedback, I've just added some links to the alternative text and fingers crossed for a higher conversion rate.

Lyndsey, change your website style - use one of Yola pre-set ones, as most of them have balanced colour-font-form combination (and do not try to alter it), which your website lacks of.

To change style is fast and easy indeed. Just in Sitebuilder go to Style -> Change Style... Then only adjust some widgets to fit into form nicely.

This is straight forward, but friendly advice to help you improve and get more attention, I hope you don't mind.

I've renovated my site recently, once I overheard people tweeting that it looks heavy and tacky ;)

i know you would eventually appreciate an honest feedback even though you will hate me so here it is. the colors are too bright. it's not easy on eyes. too many colors. etc. make it look a little more professional-looking.
