My website would be a work of art if only I could use the #$%^&* layout tools!

I am having trouble laying out pages. I don't seem to be able to drag and drop AT ALL. Also I try to add a box using widgets, say, I want a text box under a picture, and it goes to entirely the wrong place, not where I am indicating. I'm using Firefox. This is driving me nuts.

When your dragging the widget, you should see a green line appear, where you stop that line is where your widget, picture or html should end up

Hello steppingstones.sue

In addition to Shifty's helpful suggestion, can you please make sure that your Flash is updated: Update Flash

Please let us know if you are still having trouble with getting your widgets to work.

Mine often end up in the wrong place. Once you get the widget onto your page, add the html, picture or whatever and hit OK.

If the widget is in the wrong place you can drag it where you want. Look for the little rectangle of dots in the center of the widget edit bar. Mouse over and you'll see the cursor change to a move icon.

I have upgraded Flash as recommended, and I am still having the same problems. If I mouse over the dots, I get a move icon, I am trying to drag and drop but the box WILL NOT MOVE. I get the (say) html icon which moves around, but the box doesn't move at all. What am I doing wrong?

Hello steppingstones.sue,
I'm sorry you are still struggling with this, thanks for making sure your Flash was upgraded. Are you able to try working from a different browser? We do find that Firefox seems to work best in the Yola environment, if you would like to give this a try it is a free download: Download Firefox. If you could give this a try and then let us know if that doesn't help we would appreciate it.

Thanks for trying that. Can you please email us at support@yola.com and we can take a closer look at things from there. Thanks!
