My Yola site freezes each time I try to add new widgets. Never happened before!

I cannot add any new widgets to my site. Can anyone help?

I am a Silver subscriber and whenever I try to add a new widget, the screen freezes. I can move the mouse around and see a transparent image of the widget I want on the end of the cursor. I have to click back on to the widget panel for the screen to unfreeze.

Yes, I've cleared my cache, yes I've tried different browsers, yes, I've tried resaving the pages with different names.

This should not be happening.

I am getting tired of Yola constantly crashing, and breaking and struggling to do what I am paying money for.

Hello Ideas for cash,

This may indicate that there is some incomplete or bad HTML or some RTF text lying on a page somewhere causing the problem in the sitebuilder.

If it has only just started then I would step backwards and remove the last code snippets hopefully then this will clear the issue. Once found (if found) then you can start moving forward again.

I honestly do not have any bad code in the site. I haven't touched this site in a long time. It used to be fine, now it is not. None of this makes any sense.

This is NOT the answer. Even removing every single widget on the page does not solve the issue. Can you PLEASE look into this?

Hello Ideas for Cash

I'm really sorry that you'r experiencing this kind of issue, and I can imagine that it must be very frustrating. It has happened to me as well, but only when I moved around existing widgets on a page. After a few clicking attempts or reloading the Sitebuilder View, it worked again for me. However, on my end it only happens exceptionally and is not a permanent issue.

So you're saying that this already and permanently happens on your end when you try to drag and drop a new widget from the Widget Menu?

Can you please provide your URL for me to find your Yola account in our system and check? Thanks!

It only happens on certain pages. I even removed every widget on the page and it still did it.

This is the page it happens on

This has never happened before.

Hi Ideas for Cash

Thank you for that information. I have looked at the web code on that page and appears that there are some scripts as well as CSS that may be affecting the usability of that webpage.

You mentioned that you have removed every widget on the page. When you re-added the widgets, was there a specific point at which it stopped working? If there is, the widget or script you added just prior to that, will give you an idea of what is causing the problem.

I hope that helps!

If I remove every widget, I cannot re add ANY widgets. But I saved a copy of the page, and when I reopened it, I could add widgets again. I am simply going to have too open two instances of the same page and try transferring the data to the other page
