Hi there Jo,

Yola does not have name servers as we are not the managers of your domain, we simply host your site. Your domain name registrar needs to provide you with your name servers and you then point your site to us by setting up an A record, as per the following instructions:

How to configure a domain name you already own:

1. Log in to your chosen domain registrar (eg.,
2. Go to the DNS Management page.
3. Set up an A Record.
4. The IP address of your record must point to: ""

Please note that it can take up to 48 hours (although usually less) for these changes to take effect and you need to contact your domain registrar if you need help in that regard. If you require specific help with the interface of your domain name registrar, please contact them for support.

We have a tutorial outlining the steps to configuring your domain, giving two popular domain name registrars as examples: Using a Domain Name not purchased through Yola

There are also instructions on how to use ZoneEdit if your domain name registrar does not provide you with domain name management. However, most domain name registrars can assist you with an A record, in which case you would not need to use a third party service like ZoneEdit.

I hope this helps.

HI Danica - could you post your site's URL so that we can take a look at the settings?

Hello Danica

Thanks for sharing your URL.

I am sorry that you are having trouble with this. It can be tricky to configure your DNS settings if your domain is managed elsewhere. Your domain is not currently pointing to Yola. You need to configure your DNS settings to point to Yola's IP address: Currently, you have one A record pointing to: and a CNAME pointing to

For your domain to work properly, you need to set up two A-records:

* Some domain registrars require one A Record with the hostname "@" and one with the hostname "www".
* Other domain registrars allow you to create one hostname called "" and another "www" (replace "domain" with your own address).
* Both should point to our IP address:

I hope this information is helpful to you. If you have any further questions, please let me know.
