Hello, it would appear I cannot create Glue Records for my domain. Could you kindly apply the glue records for me please.

Domain name relentlessdesign.co.uk

Nameservers
ns1.relentlessdesign.co.uk ns2.relentlessdesign.co.uk
212.227.249.211 212.227.249.211

These have been setup correctly on my server already.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Karl,

I have attempted to update your nameservers for you. However, it is saying that 212.227.249.211 is not the correct IP address for ns1.relentlessdesign.co.uk.

Please can you double-check that you have the correct information for this?

I have removed and re-added these incase there was a problem with the Zone File. I can confirm they are correct IP and setup correctly. Can you please recheck and advise? These are the records I have setup within my server.

ns1.relentlessdesign.co.uk. A 212.227.249.211
ns2.relentlessdesign.co.uk. A 212.227.249.211

relentlessdesign.co.uk. NS ns2.relentlessdesign.co.uk.
relentlessdesign.co.uk. NS ns1.relentlessdesign.co.uk.

400: Nameserver [ns1.relentlessdesign.co.uk] is missing or unknown IP address

I am receiving the above error still when trying to add the nameservers.

You need to setup a glue record for the name servers.

Hi Karl

Our engineers have set up the nameserver records for your domain to resolve this error you are seeing. These changes can take up to 48 hours to change (but it is sometimes a lot shorter).

Please note that both nameservers point to the same IP address and there would be no failover for DNS if that server does not respond.

Thanks for your speedy reply, i can confirm this is now working for me, thankyou.

I am aware of the IP address of the nameservers and the potential issues that could arise. This will longterm change however for now they will have to stay as they are due to advanced DNS settings I require.

Many Thanks for your assistance in resolving this.
