Hi,

The menus offered here work very well with Yola Silver and have been used by other users.

Make your selection and try it out. Any problems then ask specifically and someone will offer support.

Thank you for this interesting link, Gop.

Hello pjrhodes1122

Unfortunately Yola doesn't offer drop down menus for the main navigation menu yet. You may also be interested in the Submenu feature of our Premium styles.
You can find an overview of where submenus will be displayed in the different styles here.

Hi,

There are both free and paid for. My experience has been with the free and these can be used site wise meaning that the CSS has only to be placed once in the CSS area.

Drop down menus are only one style of possible menu of tens of styles out there in the big web and it's today's fashionable option. Tomorrow it will be replaced with something else and then something else again. That is very much the nature of the beast! It would literally be impossible for a host like Yola to provide all possibilies. Yola's strength is it's reasonably open architecture that does allow users to place pre-tested (or not) and independent plugins into their sites.

There are generous people on this forum who have great knowledge and are innovative in assisting and even designing code for users like us to use. It's free and it's uniquely tailored for us. That's pretty remarkable wouldn't you say? None of this would be available to us without Yola and without their explicit support on this Forum. Yola Silver just makes it easier for these people to give free support, that's a pretty good return for payment if nothing else wouldn't you say?

I would hope this openess would last for ever and that I wouldn't be cloned into just using a Yola Brand addition.

I agree with you that the Yola benefits of Silver vs Bronze for example are really vague. There is a list but this doesn't explain what in practice the difference really is. This question comes up time and time again and there is never a sensible answer simply a marketing response. The benefits of Silver I must say only become apparent to those with experience or those who have come up with a need and can't find a solution outside Silver (Which is extremely rare). I would say that there is nothing in Silver that can't be done with the free plan other than using custom domains but it may take more input and you could only do it for 2 sites compared to 5 or 25.

Hello pj,

I have the information and I hope to get onto it within a day or two. Hoping this is OK with you. I would just like to focus on another little thing at this time and it's easier for me to give full attention to new things individually.
