Navigation Bar Options

I think Yola would benefit a lot if they changed the navigation bar so that you have the option of whether or not you want it on some certain pages.

I'm starting my first professional website and I would really love to have the option to not put the navigation bar on my home page. It just clashes with everything else. But I can't take it away from all my other pages because there would be no way to navigate around my site. I can't publish my site like this.
Please consider this for ALL your customers, Yola. We would benefit a lot!

I had this same problem, and got around it by removing all pages from the menu, then creating a menu in an HTML widget which I placed on all the pages I wanted to. Have a look at http:// thegoodolddays.yolasite.com and if you like it I can give you the code.

Hello J

Hm, it's a rare request that users don't want their navigation to be displayed on each page of their site. The advantage of a navigation bar is to make it easy for users to access each of your main pages from any page of your site.

If it makes sense for your site to remove the navigation from selected pages, Sandra's idea is perfect. You won't necessarily need HTML code to make a custom navigation bar, but it's nice if Sandra can forward it to you. You can also build your own navigation using the Custom Panel Widget and Text Widget, or as Picture links. Remember that you will need to uncheck the box next to Display in navigation whenever you create a new page or save a page as. You will not be able to use your Page Manager to shift navigation link positions or create submenus, and you will need to link manually from every custom navigation link to the desired page.

Could your problem also be related to the Style template you are using for your website? Maybe it's not the right Style for you, and you would like to consider choosing a different Style where the navigation menu is more discreet. You can change your Style at any time without losing content, and change back to previous Styles if you don't like it.
