Need advice on my home page

I just made some changes to my home page. I created two drop down menus on the right hand side of the page but now I want to somehow reduce the wordiness of the page. I find there is too much text that maybe is better suited to an accordion menu? Or maybe someone has other ideas as to better organize the text or for that matter my whole page?

I would like to have what I had on my old site (http://sd.mcran.com) where when you click on one of the pictures, text appears on the screen. I love that effect. There must be something out there that does this?

Yep. Exactly. Jst a different template. I used Rapidweaver to create my original site. I started using Yola last week so for now this is what my main page looks like. I'm all for changing the look and I just need some ideas.

I don't like the way I have my text layed out on the page. If you look at my original site, there is a nice effect when you click on a picture and the text would display below it. I would love to find something similar that I can use with Yola.
