I am in the process of setting up a membership only site, and one feature I would love to add is a page for members to have their own blog. Do you know anywhere which provides such a service that I could look into adding it to my site? This isn't a blog for me the owner, but for members who join, so they could have their own blog on my site. I have googled this, but dont even know how to explain it simply to do a google search. Any ideas anyone please?

Hello Sally,

Unfortunately I do not know of a service that you can add to Yola for this.

We do not provide member registration and login features or multi-user accounts yet. We know that many people would like to have visitors register for accounts and have logins for their sites.

You can password protect pages using our Password Protection feature.

This might not be quite what you had in mind, but you might want to try using Google Friend Connect. You can find information on how to add it to your site on this tutorial: Adding Google Friend Connect.

If you need any further assistance, please let us know.

This may not fit your needs, but I suggest Nabble.

You can have multiple accounts and create blogs for different people, which they can post in. You can embed Nabble on your site, so that's another useful feature.

I hope that helps!

Hello britsal,
This is a very interesting concept and I did some searching finding a key word as "sub-blogs". There was a deep and meaningful WordPress reference on this idea.
It may be worth your while searching under the idea of "sub-blogs".
