How do I link particular words or phrases to other post on my site (related to that word or phrase.). I've never been able how to do this. I know how to link to an external page and to a general page (links page for example) but not how to link a word to an older post within my site.

Hi Carl,

It sounds like you would like to have anchor links that open to a specific area on a different page you can do so as follows:

1. Drag and drop a HTML Widget (it looks like a blue sphere) onto the page you want to link from. Add this code to the HTML Widget:
<!--
<a href="mypage.php#anchor">link</a>
-->
(with "mypage being the page you want to link to).

2. On your page you want to link to, drag and drop another HTML Widget to the area you want the link to jump to and add this code to it.
<!--
<a name="anchor"></a>
-->

Please ignore <!-- and --> those are there to stop the code from being interpreted in this post.

Your link on the first page will then link to the area you added the code to.

Here is a link to a tutorial that explains how to add anchor links to your page: http://tipsandtricks.synthasite.com/A....

The problem is that I'm not able to do this within my administrative page. When i try to grab the html widget and place it where I want to link from the page jumps and I cannot target my starting point to link it to my destination. This is extremely frustrating and difficult. As I said I have been trying to figure out how to do this for some time.

Hello Carl

I'm wondering if the issue may lie with the type of browser you using if you're experiencing "jumping"? Can you please let us know what browser and browser version you are using?

Carl, have you tried doing the link just in the ordinary Yola sitebuilder? I put in my deep links just using the little blue rectangular HTML icon on the usual editing bar, without using a special HTML widget. Works just the same.

I'm not sure that you need to link to
1. Areas within the same page.
2. Posts in the same SITE.

Above posts solves the clue 1.

Here is the answer for 2.

To create a link to pages within your site , you need to know the exact URL of your site.
For an example , you posted a blog post on the topic "welcome to techrome" in a blog , and need to link it from another.

Yola's blogs use a method to shrink URLs of your site posts human friendly.

For an example ,
you post the above post , and it will have the URL,
www.mysite.com/blog/welcome-to-techrome

you can also view that URL of your post while you viewing your site as a guest.

If you need to add some stuff like blog tags , put a blog tags widget , or just search for that post as a guest , and put that URL as a tag.(this search result updates as you add the content, but the same keyword).

If you need to shorten URLs , go to
