I need help with a dropdown menu. I have looked at dynamic drive, and the yolacodes website. The problem is, I don't know where to find the codes on the yolacodes website and don't know how to implement the dynamic drive codes to my website.

Here is an example of the type of menus I would like to try:

http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicin... &
http://dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1... (1st example)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello Labosa

I just responded to you on another thread but we can continue from here :)

First of all, do you have Yola Silver? I need to know before proceeding as this will determine the best course of action to take. Thanks.

Okay.. no problem Labosa.

What you need to do then is grab the codes from Yola Code site. Here's how to dot this. You need to navigate to this site: http://yolatestsite.yolasite.com. Enter the login information given to you in the "Rules" on the Yola Code site. Go the the site which contains the menu codes and navigate to the particular menu page you wanted to use.

Then, you can read the instructions, copy the codes in each HTML box and paste into NotePad and then copy and paste into your own site.

If you need any further assistance, please let me know.

I'm currently in the test site, and I can't seem to download the images it says to download for the menu I want. When I click view, it shows as if there's no picture...

Can you please let me know which particular menu you are looking at and I'll take a look and see what's going on. Thanks!

Ok, it's the DD Navigation Menu, style 1, and I successfully downloaded and uploaded the pictures, but it doesn't show it as a dropdown when I test it. Just tabbed links...

You need to make sure that you have set up the codes in the same order as displayed in the yolatestsite. Also, you need to make sure that the line breaks for the codes are the same as well. If you still have trouble with this, please share with me your site URL so that I can take a look.

Thanks for the URL!

It seems that you're missing one of the codes:

<script type="text/javascript">
//SYNTAX: tabdropdown.init("menu_id", [integer OR "auto"])
tabdropdown.init("colortab", 0)
</script>

You can paste that under your last HTML Widget.

Hopefully that will do the trick. Please be sure that each line is broken up the same as here.

I did set them up in the same order as the test site. 3 html widgets, Not too sure what is wrong.

Ahhh! It works now. Thank you! Now, do I have to re-paste all 4 codes on every webpage I want it to show up on?

I'm glad to hear that it worked! You will need to add these codes to every page. What I suggest is using the "Save Page As" feature as this will duplicate each page.

Here's how you do it:

1. Navigate to the page you want to copy
2. On the Yola toolbar, click on the down-arrow next to the "Save" button.
3. Choose "Save Page As"
4. The "Save Page As" dialog box will pop-up asking you to name your new page, (and give you the chance to change the page heading, and decide whether or not to include the new page in your navigation).
5. Click "OK" and you're done. The newly created page will now appear up in the Page drop-down arrow of page choices, so you can go back to it again if you chose not to include it in your menu.

If you need any further assistance, please let me know.

Would there be any way to have the links be centered on the bottom line? It looks sort of funny with that little piece of end line after the links...

Your site is stunning! The text at the bottom of the page look centered to me - did you manage to get them right? If not, could you let me know what browser you're using? Eg. Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 3 etc.

Thank you Marije! I can't wait to finish and start adding products! Yes, the text is centered...I have been working on the blog page for about 2 hours now, so I haven't really looked over whether or not the centered text looks better than being left/right adjusted.

I am using Chrome. :)
