need help with stopping automatic redirect to .yolasite.com

I used to download the site.zip to place it on my own domain name. www.dancecetera.nl, which worked very well for a long time. Because of a very slow connection with a wireless modem I used your free domain dancecetera.yolasite.com because it was quicker and just for testing.

Now I'm finished and downloaded de site.zip file again and uploaded it to my domainserver.

The problem is now that it keeps automaticaly redirecting to www.dancecetera.yolasite.com instead of www.dancecetera.nl

What can I do to stop the automatic redirect?

Hello,

So you don't want to have a site that you built with Yola published to the yolasite.com subdomain or your custom domain any longer correct? If so, you can unpublish your site from inside the site builder. If this does not stop the redirect please let us know.

To unpublish your site:

1. Click on the down-arrow next to the yellow "Update My Site" button.
2. Click on "Publishing Settings".
3. Click on "Unpublish my Site".

You will be asked to confirm that you wish to unpublish your site. Click on "OK" and your site will be unpublished.

Hi Paul

There is currently a bug with the domain.info file serving a redirect back to the last domain you published to.

Here is a workaround: When you download the zip, unzip the file and delete the domain.info file on your computer before uploading the site to your server. This should stop the redirect being served back to your yolasite subdomain.

If this does not solve your problem, please let me know.

Hi,

I still have this problem partly I just discovered. From some links it still redirects to dancecetera.yolasite.com instead of dancecetera.nl. Unless it's a dutch site, I think I can show you to try it:

goto:

http://www.dancecetera.nl/dans-en-mee...

There a two drop-down listsboxes. As you can see, the first one works properly, but the second one is not. Unless the links are to the dancecetera.nl site. Can you please find out why these links still dont work?

Here under you will find the script of the second list box, where you can see that the links are okay.

Kind regards,
Paul

Hi Paul,

I think this could be the problem:-

The first set of links have URL's in the code that look like this (they have been spaced so that the whole path shows):

http:// www.dancecetera. nl/dansdocenten-vacature- dansdocent-dancecetera. php

The second set of links look like this:

http:// www.dancecetera.nl/ dansenmeer/ demonstratiegroep- amateurdans-voor-dansoptredens .php

I don't think it will work to have "dansenmeer" in the path as it's not a designated page on your site. Can you try editing the page paths to look the same as the first one and hopefully it will fix the problem.
