Hi, i am trying to forward zaraxanian.ca to rarescarves.zaraxanian.com (unmasked url forwarding). Rarescarves.zaraxanian.com itself is a subdomain which through a CNAME pointing to my store. How do I do that? I tried to set CNAME records pointing to my store but couldn't remove the A records.

Can you please help with this? Thanks

Hello Zara,

You need to set rarescarves.zaraxanian.com as your primary domain and redirect your .ca to it. This is a 301 redirect and Yola has the ability to do this easily.

If both domains are managed by Yola then please see the tutorial: Assigning domains and creating a primary domain

Thanks but my store is NOT a yola store (I missed to mention that, my bad). It is an external store. To be brief, I only want to use the domain name I have with Yola not the hosting. What you are suggesting only allows me to assign a primary and a secondary domain to a yola site.
Can you please give another suggestion? The best I can think of is URL forwarding option but I can't figure how to set that with Yola Panel.
Thanks

So the Canonical and subordinate are managed by different hosting DNS facilities?

If so then I think you will need to wait for the DNS team to offer a suggestion. I don't think it's something a user can set up in the user DNS panel.

I think so too, so far no reply though. I tried changing the nameservers so that I can manage these settings through another channel but everytime I try to edit the NS inputs, I get error.
Thanks for the follow up and hope someone from DNS team gets back to me soon

Hello Zara Xanlan

We have solved the DNS problem. Can you please clear your cache and retry making your DNS changes in your My Yola? Let us know if it doesn't work, and we'll investigate further. Thanks.
