I have a company trying to sue me if I dont change my business name due to a trade mark conflict.
I would like to create a new domain name and have current name/ web address redirected to this site.
I would also like to use the current site artwork etc for the new domain site with a few changes that I can edit thru Yola.

Can yola help me as current site thru yola and would like to continue with Yola.

I need to do asap as I have been given an immediate ultimatum by a solicitor on behalf of the company who I am in conflict with their trade mark

Hi Jasmin,

That's bad luck. If the issue is with your domain name then you may be out of luck as domains aren't interchangeable. I would discuss this with the solicitor and offer to sell the domain to the company. They may take it. A solicitor would know that a small business person is not likely to be sued for lots :) and don't be intimidated. You could see your own solicitor and let them work it out, for a fee.

If it's the descriptive name of your site then you may change this to any other name that you like.

Hi Jasmin,

Gop is correct that a new domain name would need to be purchased if that is the conflict but you can do so easily from within your Sitebuilder which will automatically publish your new domain to your website. If you must act quickly, you can easily unpublish your site and republish with your new domain and artwork when it is ready.

Best of luck dealing with your unexpected rebranding, and let us know if we can help further.
