Last night, when entering the page with the Neocounter on it, we started getting error messages from Adobe Flash Player 10.
"A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 10 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?".
The Neocounter widget is not displaying correctly and, if you don't abort the script (as suggested). your PC eventually freezes up. We have reported this error to Neoworx but have not heard back from them.
Is anyone else getting this same problem and does anyone know of a fix?

Sorry that no one has helped you with your problem quickly. I think most of Yola's community is sleeping right now. I just tried to find the counter. Is the part that is circled where the counter is?

If it is, I didn't get any messages nor did the counter show up. This may be a problem with the widgets server or company. You should try to shoot them an email and see what they say. But we shall wait to see if anyone has any info on this.

I tried to reload the code in two ways. Firstly using the Widgetbox Gallery and secondly by creating the HTML code on the NeoWORX site and pasting it in. However both methods caused exactly the same problems as before. I contacted NeoWORX again and they signed up for Yola and created a site with a counter which you can see works perfectly well at
http://neoworx.yolasite.com
NeoWORX replied saying:
"I am getting no reports of issues from Widgetbox users. Furthermore the NeoWORX.net verison of Neocounter is different from the Widgetbox.com version so even if the Widgetbox version does not work, the NeoWORX should. They are unrelated. Hmm... strange.
I would be tempted to think that somehow Yola is caching NeoCounter thus still loading the old faulty version, but it's a stretch. Plus it does not explain why the NeoWORX version doe not work."
I hasten to add that NeoWORX have been very responsive to this problem but we seem to be at a point where no one knows what to do next.
Any ideas Yola?

The widget on your test site looks good to me. To test further, I just published this test site with a NeoCounter: http://neotest.yolasite.com/
It appears to be working perfectly as far as I can tell. The widget loads and I get no script errors.
I copied the code directly from WidgetBox and pasted it into the HTML widget in Yola
Please can others tell us if the widgets on Paul and my test site cause any problems on your end?
Paul can you please tell me exactly what problems you are having. I know you say they are the same as the ones you originally reported, but I am not seeing any of these.
It could be that your browser or ISP has cached the old, faulty widget, so the more people who can tell us what they see the better. This will help us narrow down the options.

Can you send me the code you used on your test site and I will try it on my live site to see if it makes any difference?

I am getting this error in the Yola SiteBuilder when trying to load the counter for the first time.

I tested your Widgetbox NeoCounter on Yola and it works correctly. Please see it here: http://neoworx.yolasite.com/
Since you subscribed to this version I suggest you install it again directly from Widgetbox. Once you did that replace the new widgets' ID numbers with the 3 you saved and sent me. I did that for the NeoCounter on http://neoworx.yolasite.com/ and as you can see the visitor count has not been lost.
As for the NeoWORX version of NeoCounter, I did notice that it causes Flash to crash. At least the javascript code, not the Flash code. I will look into this. Perhaps the good folk from Yola will also investigate and post an explanation here.
But as far as your specific problem is concerned, if you re-install the Widgetbox version of NeoCounter, which you subscribed to, it should work.
Let me know if you require further assistance at: help AT neoworx DOT net

Thanks so much for reading this and commenting on the thread. We really appreciate your time and effort in helping to resolve this.
I also have success with the WidgetBox version, but the NeoWORX version crashes Flash. (I get the same error message that Greg does)
If you have any pointers to me as to what we can check on from the Yola end of things, I would really appreciate this.
Paul: meantime, does this provide a viable workaround for you?

After many hours of trying to get this fixed I have decided to give up and have asked NeoWorx (or is it Widgetbox?) for my money back. I just couldn't get to the bottom of this and I am now totally confused. Shame really as the counters were really good while they worked. My recommendation....stay clear of these counters.

I thought we had discussed all your troubles and solved them. What's happenning now?
1) sign in your Widgetbox Member Area
2) go to My Widgetbox/Installed widgets
3) find your widgets and install them again
If you don't find them, look up "NeoCounter" in the Gallery and install new NeoCounters.
I don't know what else I can do to help you. But if you still need assistance, contact me directly at help@neoworx.net.

Just to let you know what is happening regarding this issue. With the help of an Engineer we ran several tests and unfortunately the issue doesn't seem to be within the Site Builder or our environment.
I am really sorry about this and we really want to help you resolve this issue. Paul from Neoworx has posted his email address on this thread. I will be emailing him directly for some help with debugging this issue. I will include in this email as well.

To be totally fair to Neoworx, they have refunded us for the Premium products without any fuss what-so-ever. I really hope they can get it resolved as the product was great and they have offered good support.
