Quick question: Does Yola or will Yola support HTML 5?

Which I believe the validation is just <!DOCTYPE HTML SYSTEM>

I think its the browser that will recognise and read the change in the code.

That may be, but Chrome doesn't. It says it's not compatible.

Hi Lambofgod,

The sites that Yola produces are encoded as, and written in HTML 4. Once HTML 5 reaches popular usage and predominant browsers support it properly, we will examine switching sites to HTML 5. All browsers in popular use support HTML 4, while there are selected browsers which support and implement the HTML 5 spec. Switching to a different DOCTYPE definition is not a choice which can be taken lightly, and would potentially affect a number of our users, and visitors to their sites.

So, no, we don't support HTML 5 yet, but when it is appropriate to move from 4 to 5 we will do it.
