Since using the new sitebuilder i cant seem to edit any of my website. I load a page to edit and none of my text appears. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Pictures appear but that is about it. I hope it is just me being stupid, but i cant seem to get anything to work.

Hi Gill

This sounds more like a bug than anything you are doing wrong, although it might happen in some browsers and not others.

Can you tell me which browser you are using and also post the URL of the affected site so that we can investigate further.

I can reassure you that everything on your site will still be there, we just have to figure out why you can't load it in the sitebuilder.

Sorry about this and I look forward to helping you get to the bottom of this!

Hi Gill

Thanks for getting back to me. I checked your site and all the content is there for me in Firefox. We also checked in IE9 and everything is there.

Could you do me one further favor to help me get to the bottom of this? Go to: http://supportdetails.com/. This site will automatically generate all the information about your browser and operating system. Our suspicion is that the problem only occurs in certain browsers and or operating systems, which is why we are having problems replicating.

You can either export your system details as a PDF and email it to us or take a screenshot and upload it here - whichever is easiest for you.

It would also help if you did have the opportunity to check your site in the sitebuilder in a different browser for comparison and let us know what you see. This would help us determine whether a specific configuration of IE9 could be to blame. However, we are not asking you to switch browsers in order to edit your site, just to check and get back to us so that we can figure out the bug.

We would really appreciate your help on this as we obviously want to ensure that you and everyone else can edit their site without any hassles!

Hi Gill

Thanks so much for providing the information. We were able to replicate the issue you describe in IE9/Windows Vista. While we work on this could you please use another browser to edit your site?

We really appreciate you following through and answering our questions as this has helped us isolate a very serious bug that not only affects you but will likely affect other customers using the same browser/operating system combination.

Hi Gill,

Our engineers are still looking into what might have caused this and they had a question. Did you by chance change back and forth between the new and old Sitebuilder design in the last month?

Ok, thanks for that information Gill. There was a point where you could go between the two but it's no longer an option. I'll pass your reply on to our team.
