Hi Monique,
I am a licensed massage practitioner who was with a company called Holistic Alliance. I was just searching the internet and came across your company. I was shocked and amazed at what your company was able to offer to an entrepreneur on a tight budget. So kudos to you guys.. YOU ROCK! My question is since I know you use a lot of different web designer who licensed their pages to you guys. Could you please put out a message to them to offer more holistic or massage theme designs. I am sure a lot of people on here are in different professions - this might be a sure way to capture those people as well for your organization. Until than best of wishes to you all.. Thank you .. - yaya

hi thanks for responding you have some great layouts. But something with a little more holistic or massage/yoga feel would be awesome. It's not a rush now but offering web designs tailor to different markets can only increase your market value in the long run.

Hi Yaya and Monica

I am glad you like the new features. Thanks for the great feedback. Yaya, we are particularly interested in helping small businesses create an online presence. We have tried to make sure the price is right :-) (Free, requiring only your time and creativity). So we are very glad that you found us.

We are working on designing some of our own styles and I will certainly promote your request. Maybe you could help out by describing in more detail what you want the styles to look like or posting a few links to sites with styles similar to what you would like for your site. We won't copy them, but it will give us some ideas of where to aim.

I can't make promises, because I am not the one who is going to have to do the work, but I will to my best to be an advocate for your requests.

Hi Monique, I thank you for your quick responses to my questions and ideas. I have enclosed as you requested a few companies that do caterer to different professions, like massage therapy, acupunture, chiropractic, naturopathy and energy healing - the website is http://holisticalliance.com/
http://www.massageontheweb.com/sample... and here are so high end websites please scroll to middle of the page http://www.spaboom.com/spa-websites I hope this helps..
I do have a question though, I already have my site up and have been talking to one of the designers for your websites about creating a website tailored to my company brand name and needs. If he designs my site am I able to post it through synthasite if we keep the url at the bottom of the page referencing your company. If not I may at some point have to leave your company and go back to godaddy. I am having a logo design and website created built around my company and product line. I want to thank you for your time and I hope the website I have enclosed give an idea of the importance of creating websites tailored to different professions can only be a win/win situation for both parties involved in the end. Thank you.. -yaya

Thanks Yaya. I will take a look at the sites you sent me. We definitely want to create styles tailored to different professions, and we do understand the importance of this.

In answer to your question: for a site to work with SynthaSite it needs to be created with our site builder and be stored in your SynthaSite account. It is not possible to upload a site created with different software to SynthaSite.

Thank you Monique. For the time being I will use your service as its been laid out to me. If I feel that I am not getting the traffic or clients that I know it should be getting that I may need to re-think my website options, since I do a lot of marketing and advertising to promote my brand as a massage company. Free is good if it produces a profitable outcome for both parties involved. I look forward to seeing some new concepts of websites that your company can deliver in the near future. Thank you again. -yaya

I have wanted to create a website for about 3 months now. I am still no further ahead than the first day I started looking into it. With very little money, I thought I would do it myself. Ha Ha--I know nothing about websites and doing research has only confused me more. If you figure out a way to do it yourself--I would love the insight! (I have visited so many sites, forums, etc...I'm not even sure how I got an email from "SynthaSite." Nor, do I know exactly what it is--I guess I should maybe read the "HOW IT WORKS" LOL

Monique and Ruth~
Thank you very much for the warm welcome! I'm a little shell shocked right now--since I have never found anyone to be at all helpful unless I was breaking out the checkbook to pay for their services. Geez--Okay well, I am a Sales Rep. for a national Health Benefits program. I would like to expand my sales by setting up my own website that explains the program in detail.
What else...

I have not had the chance to read about Synthasite yet. So, I will take the opportunity in about an hour to look over the website. I am very anxious to find out how you offer this service to "putz's" like me and it's ALL FREE??

My first question will more than likely be: Is the website I build through Synthasite--Do I own it?

Okay, I will get back to you later on--Again, thank you for the warm welcome. I look forward to working with you all!
I'll post later on~

And yes, you own the site. You can either publish to a free SynthaSite subdomain, or purchase your own domain from a domain name registrar such as GoDaddy.com and still host your site with us for free.

My question is about the password protection feature.
Firstly i m a kind of person who is bad with too many usernames and passwords (i have one universal password for everything, from my mails to my cell phone :-P). What if i forget the password i have set on my site?
Can i change the username and password for protected pages as often as i like?

* Sorry if the questions sound dumb, but i havent tried the password feature yet

Hi Monica,

There are no dumb questions and, chances are, that if you have the question so do half a dozen other people.

To check what Log in ID and Password you assigned to your website:
1) Log in to your SynthaSite account and open your site.
2) Click on the "Site Manager" tab
3) Click on "Site Password Protection"
A dialog box will open up and you will be able to see what Log in ID and password you assigned to your site. You can also change it if you wish. If you make any changes to the Log in ID and password, remember to update you live site to make this change effective on the live version of your site.

I hope I have answered your question correctly. Please get back to me if you had something else in mind.

By the way, you know it's very bad security to have one password for everything?

Thanks alot Ruth for answering. *hugs*. Yeah i know its bad, but i somehow have managed to remember a 17 character password, including small, capitals, no. and symbols. I know that is not enough, but i wont be able to remember so many passwords. Biology is easier than passwords and login IDs.. ha ha!!

We try to have someone around to help you around the clock, so whenever you it's convenient to you is fine. If official reps aren't around we have a very active community of users who often answer each other's questions before we can get there.

Roxy,

If you are in the United States, you can use the Genbook widget. Genbook provides the service that you are looking for. They offer free and paid accounts, so you will be able to get it for free.

I agree with Ruth. Genbook is perfect for what you have in mind. You will find this option in the Widgets folder in SynthaSite. It is just below the "Yourminis" widget. Give them a try and let us know what you think.
