My site is not giving me the publishing option of publishing to a domain I already own. I have done this before with other sites, but this time it is not working.

Hi, kshmyr,

Since February, pointing your domain is now part of the Yola Silver package. You can point any number of domains with Silver. You can read more about it here: http://yola.com/pricing. Otherwise, you will need to transfer the domain to Yola. See our tutorial for transferring here: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/article...

Please note: any domains you had published a site too before February will remain pointed. Just new domains will need a transfer or upgrade..

I have Silver. I do not want to transfer my domain to Yola. The tutorials you linked to are only helpful if I want to transfer management to Yola. I just want to point to my site, but I am not given that option.

Her is a screen cap showing I am Silver, which apparently, according to your post, means I can "point any number of domains" - this is not working. I do not have an option to point a domain I already own to my site, as per my first screen cap.

Hello Kshmyr,

I am sorry for the confusion. You don't need to transfer your domain to Yola to publish your site if you have Yola Silver. You can point your domain to Yola by configuring your A records and publish your site to your external domain.

Here is a tutorial explaining how to do it: http://www.yola.com/tutorials/article...

I hope this helps.

Ok. I know how to adjust the A records. I have looked at the tutorial. The problem I am having is with these steps:

Once you have configured your DNS settings:

1. Click the green "Publish to the web" button in Yola.
2. Select "I already own my domain name" and then "Next step".
3. Enter your domain name and follow the prompts to publish your site.
4. If your site is already published, click the drop down arrow next to the "Publish to the web" button, and then select "Publishing Settings" and you will see an option to add a domain you already own. If your domain now redirects to your subdomain, you can change it by following the steps on this link: My domain is redirecting to my Yolasite subdomain.

There is NO OPTION TO ADD A DOMAIN I ALREADY OWN AS PER MY FIRST SCREEN CAP.

Hello Kshmyr,

When I go to your site I get that option - see attached:

Could you please try clearing your cache and then logging out and logging back in to your site and see if you can add your domain. how to clear your cache

If this does not solve your problem, and you still aren't able to add your domain, please let us know.
