Non link text is underlining without telling it to underline

I am typing into a text widget and everything gets underlined. I can't seem to turn off underline. It doesn't show up in the html either. At one point in the non old text box the underlining wasn't there but it was on the site itself. It looks bad and I want it fixed. Help!? My site is www.seasonofstrangers.com I think it is only the press link page that is doing it.

Hi Mandy,

I didn't see any text on your Press page and couldn't replicate the problem there but I did see what you were describing on your Shows page. I took a look at the HTML code above the text widget and saw that you are missing the closing tag which should look like this: </a>
at the end of your code. Replacing the <a> with </a>  will
remove the underlined formatting.

I didn't see any other occurrences of this on your website so hopefully that should sort it!

I ended up putting a code in the beginning. <style type="text/css">
a {
text-decoration:none;
}

.Apple-style-span a {
text-decoration:none;
}

</style>
<h6 class=""></h6>
<p class=""><span style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255); line-height: 1.5em;"><b>PAST SHOWS:&nbsp;</b></span></p><p class=""><font color="#ffffff">1/11/15-Lo-Fi w/Sunyata, Charlatan, Perpetual Ritual&nbsp;</font><br><font color="#ffffff">1/17/15-New Frontier w/Retrospecter, Jesus on the Moon, Pete Dougherty&nbsp;</font><br><font color="#ffffff">2/6/15-Conor Byrne w/Red Jacket Mine, Llama&nbsp;</font><br><font color="#ffffff">2/7/15-New Frontier w/Retrospecter, The West, The Echo Echo Echoes&nbsp;</font><br><font color="#ffffff">3/7/15-Conor&nbsp;Byrne, Ball of Wax #39 w/The Foghorns, Soft Blows, Coast, Night Life, Shannon Jae&nbsp;</font><br><font color="#ffffff">3/20/15-Conor Byrne w/Xolie Morra and the Strange Kind, Levator&nbsp;</font><br><font color="#ffffff">5/3/15-Barboza w/Tomten and Sundries&nbsp;</font><br><font color="#ffffff">5/15/15-New Frontier&nbsp; MAWP benefit w/The Variety Hour and Battersea&nbsp;</font></p>

I still can't tell it to not underline so I guess I have to do this every time I type in a text box....?

Hi Mandy,

If you added the closing tag on the original code, it eliminated the underlining and nothing else would be needed to prevent it going forward. This is the code snippet I'm referring to:

"<a href='http://www.bandsintown.com' class='bit-widget-initializer' data-artist='season of strangers' data-text-color='#ffffff '>Bandsintown<a>"

It should look like this:

"<a href='http://www.bandsintown.com' class='bit-widget-initializer' data-artist='season of strangers' data-text-color='#ffffff '>Bandsintown</a>"

The bands in town part is a separate HTML box.

I understand that Mandy, but it's the missing closing tag there that's affecting the underlining below. When you don't close your tags properly, the code will continue to be applied to the rest of your page.
