Not justified

I am happy with what I have paid for - why are you changing? What you are offering doesnt warrant that much of a price hike. I am dissapointed. I will go back to the original free site as I cant see the justification. I haven't been with Silver a year. I may change to another provider.

Hi smnicklos, if you are already a Yola Silver subscriber you will be able to keep paying $49.95/yr. Now if you subscribe to Yola Silver anytime after December 31st, 2010 you will have to pay the $99.95/yr. But if you are already a Yola Silver member then you wont have to pay the bigger fee and you will still have the new features of Yola Silver.

Go to this link for more info on this new Yola Silver: Important information enclosed about Yola Silver pricing

I hope this clears up any confusion.

Hello,

We're gearing up for the new year with some great changes to our Yola Silver plan. Thanks to our customer's feedback, we're adding more features and flexibility to Silver, including unlimited Premium Styles and priority email and phone support.

In January 2011, the price of Yola Silver will increase from USD49.95 per year to USD99.95 per year.

The current Silver package has the following:

* 1 custom domain name
* 1 premium style
* Yola branding removal
* Advanced analytics
* Credits for logos and advertising

The new Yola Silver will have the old features and include some great new features such as:

* Unlimited Premium Styles (Jan. 2011)
* Premium phone support (Jan. 2011)
* Premium email support (Jan. 2011)
* Custom site CSS (approx. February 2011)
* Sub-menu site navigation (approx. March 2011)

Because our Yola Premier plan includes a subscription to Yola Silver, we're planning a price increase from USD349 to USD495 in January, 2011. But we're offering the same deal here, if you want someone to build your site in the new year, upgrade to Premier now.

However, if you are an existing Yola Silver user, you can renew your Yola Silver at the old price of $49.95 and still have the same existing features you currently have.

Cheers,
Brianna

Hi Brianna, does that mean the New Yola Silver wont include a free domain, the Yola branding removal, Advanced Analytics, etc.? If we don't pay the new price ($99.5/yr) does this mean we wont get the new features? You said "with the features you currently have."

Thanks,
Nathan

You, along with all of the other current Yola Silver customers will be receiving an email closer to our release date with further information. Please let me know if you need additional clarification.

Cheers!

Question in this:
"Nathan: Hi smnicklos, if you are already a Yola Silver subscriber you will be able to keep paying $49.95/yr"

And the question is whether the offer is only valid for the next year or forever. Thank you.

Hello, it will be available as long as Yola can offer it. I am sure it will be for a while though. It wont be just the next year.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the answer,
However, I think it would be fair for the existing silver users who support you all this time, to allow them an increase in the expiry date of packages with this price. If you stop this after 1 or 2 years, you can let them in this period to increase the expiration date.
For example let them buy:
$49.95 for 1 year
$99.99 for 2 years
3, 4, 5... etc
They may had a specific plan about the prices, when they start being silver users.

Hello moyiskh.com. Thank you for your question. I can assure you that you will certainly get at least one year of the new Yola Silver at the original price if you are current Yola Silver user. However, our prices are always subject to change and we cannot commit to letting you know beyond that first year if the price will remain the same or not. As always, we will be sure to give you up-to-date information so that you can remain informed about any changes.

Hi - season's greetings to everyone. I am very grateful for the service Yola offers and I know the following may sound mean but I think I should aire my views. Tto be blunt I am finding times generally tough and I have to watch my pennies, as we say in England. I changed from a free subscription to a paid subscription at $25 US a year ago. From the Forum I believe a lot of members did that because it was a special offer at that time. My main reason was to support Yola and I could justify paying that amount of money for that purpose. Also I was not too keen on having the Yolo logo at the bottom of my page, which was removed with the paid subscription. I feel I could also justify around $50 US ongoing for my two reasons. At the moment though I could not justify paying four times what I originally paid and I would go back to using the Free facilities. For me, a suitable alternative option would be the re-introduction of the facility, in conjuction with the Silver Membership, whereby I could pay an acceptable amount just for the Yola logo to be removed. There may well be others who feel basically as I do but perhaps they would be prepared to pay for other options which are and will be within the Silver package. Overall I think the new Silver package at $100 will undoubtably suit some but an alternative and parallel ""Menu"" choice system (with reasonable prices) would ensure that Yola and all Members benefit.

Hi Claire

Thank you so much for airing your views about the price increase. While I do understand and empathize with your situation, please know that Yola did not take the decision lightly. A lot of time and thought has gone into how we can offer our users more functionality and added features in the Yola Silver package. However, this meant that we needed to increase the price of the package in order to do so. We now feel that we are giving our users some amazing features such as the ability to use any of the Premium Styles.

If you would like an alternative to the Yola Silver package, you are able to purchase a Premium Style (prices vary), which means that you will not have a Yola footer on your site.

I hope this information is helpful to you and that you will consider using it.

If you have any more questions, please let us know and we will be happy to assist.

Happy Holidays!

Nazlie

Hi
I agree with Claire regarding the Yola logo, I'm using the clean slate style because I like the basic clutter free look and have no use for a premium style. I also have no use for the features in the Yola Silver package so will not be subscribing to that. I would however like to remove the Yola logo and would be happy to pay $10/$15 per year to achieve this as would I'm sure alot of others.

Regarding the price rise, as mentioned this will not affect me but it is naive in the extreme to think your prices will stay the same, remember Yola is a business not a plaything and like all businesses it exists to make money so all of you silver guys out there can bet your life that as soon as possible your tariffs will increase.

Hi David

Thank you for your feedback on the price increase. With regards to your comments about wanting to purchase just the Yola link removal, we will ask our Product Team to take it under consideration.

Our prices have been at the same rate for about 2 years now. We are not planning on any further increases in the foreseeable future.
Many thanks
Nazlie

My apologies, I have obviously misunderstood, I was under the impression you were planning to raise the subscription fee for Yola Silver from $49.95 to $99.95, In light of your comment above I'm sure your Yola Silver customers will be relieved.

This has been mentioned at other times, but I want to bring it up again. Yola Silver at $49.95 per year (or even $99.95 per year) is a huge bargain compared to most web hosts with a sitebuilder. I have paid anywhere from $10 per month to $90 per month. That's $120 to $1080 per year! Yola is a real bargain.

One feature you will not find with most other hosts is the ability to have more than one site on your account for free. You can use it for more sites or testing sites to try out features and see how they work before putting them on your live site.

Also the support at Yola can't be beat. Yola staff is quick to respond on the forum or by email 24/7. More importantly, they will stick with you until they find and resolve the issue.

I understand times being tough in any part of the world. There's an old saying, "You get what you pay for." In the case of sitebuilders/hosts, with Yola, you get far more than you pay for.

One thing I kind of wished was on the Free account. Even though I have Silver, it would be good to have drop down menus on Free because other website builders have it for free. (But the other website builders aren't as good as Yola)

Best Regards,
Nathan

Nathan, make your mind up are other website builders better then yola because they have a drop menu feature or is yola better because it hasn't.
All this gushing and grovelling especially by the 'champs' is quite nauseating, just say what you mean and don't end every negative with a positive

Hi Peter, I am sorry if I made you mad or frustrated. Yola IS BETTER than any website builder. Yola allows unlimited numbers of pages on a site while other sites don't, they have a lot of free styles, they allow you to add custom HTML code, they have tons of widgets, they have awesome support for free, and much more.
