We currently own progresstraining.org.uk with an external provider (namesco) and have changed the DNS settings to point at YOLA (the site itself says that it is pointign when you go to the domain progresstraining.org.uk), however from the control panel in YOLA it says that it is not pointed! Please help!!! Thanks.

Hello Simon,
I have taken a look at the domain settings and see that there is only one A Record setup to point towards our ip address. You need to have two A Records, one for the www version and one for the non www version. If you have both of these records set up and have a Yola Silver account you will be able to publish to the domain name.

Please let me know if you have any trouble with this.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Hi Emmy, thanks for your reply. I had 2 a records set up - one was www and the other progresstraining.org.uk. I believe the other a record needs to be simply called @, however it will not allow me to enter that as an a record at namesco - after doing some reading, if I use * (on its own) would that solve it?

Hi Simon,
Thanks for your email. Domain registrars all have slightly different procedures for domain pointing. If you could contact your domain registrar in regards to this request, that would be fantastic! They will be able to share with you what will work or not on their end.
