Old domain name still sticking

I have changed from a free domain to a bought one, but the name of my old, free domain is still appearing on any tab that the website is in, and also along the bar at the top of the web browser. I have changed the name on the website itself, but still have the problem. How do I change this to the new, bought web domain name?

Hi fellow Ed ;)

You are referring to domain forward with masking which hides the sub-domain from being seen and only shows your bought domain's URL.

If you purchased your domain through YOLA you must contact customer service with your domain and sub-domain information in addition to your account email and inform them that you wish your domain to be masked to hide your sub-domain.

If you purchased your domain through another source please inform us of the domain registrar so that we might assist you with directions you will need to take.

Please BEAR in mind that depending on the registrar sometime this masking might take hours or days to begin to hide your sub-domain.

Happy site building
Ed

Hi there Ed,

It sounds like your domain is not redirecting to your .com domain correctly.

Would you be able to post your site URL here and I will take a look at it.

Alternatively you can email support@yola.com and mark it Attention: Jeremy and I will deal with it right away.
